Probably because he was only introduced for the sake of giving Trunks a (fusion) partner...>_>

If Son Goten's popularity continues to be like this, his character will not go any further. :( I think not even Dragon Ball Heroes could "save" him. Well, that's what happen when "popularity" is the key to success. Liking Bardock isn't easy as well.

If Goten and Trunks weren't just Gotenks fodder and were actually developed a bit, they'd be great, but alas.

Bardock and Trunks got their specials and main-timeline Trunks was handled well in GT. Goten.... :|
