Just a thought - would there be any reason why we haven't had an official clip from the flip released yet? I know that prior to Battle of Gods, as well as the trailers we got they also released a couple of clips. For example Beerus and Whis having a discussion was one, and another was the fight with Goku on King Kais planet.

Thanks for the links, though those were before the screening... I'm not expecting this to become big or anything, I'm just curious if it was in the movie or not, the most probably answer after all thats been discussed would be a no, but it looked pretty legit to me (not the fanart, the other image I posted), so I want to know either ways.

Simply coincidence... it was too obvious Tagoma could appear with a dragon ball on his hand in that pose.

I know that Dragon Ball doesn't need to be gory to be good, but... it's a fucking beam through the chest. If you don't want to show blood then don't even put scenes that brutal in the movie, because it's almost obligatory to have at least a bit blood in order for it to not look stupid.

No. No it's not. Older fans will still watch the movie and won't condemn it for that one scene in particular. And believe me, western cartoon shows and movie have it much worse. But some of those shows are still able to attract an older audience.

Why is everyone getting so worked up about the lack of blood? A lot of scenes in Dragon Ball had cases of bloodless carnage. This can't be as bad as when General Blue's soldiers are all impaled by traps without so much as a red spot. Dragon Ball isn't supposed to be dark and edgy. It's an adventure storyline with plenty of action that at times veers into dark territory. Either way, I don't see how blood makes a difference.
