Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection 'F'"

As far as blood is concerned, I truly could not care less. It neither enhances nor detracts from my experience when I'm watching the show. I guess the blood makes things slightly more realistic? But aside from that, I can't bring myself to care. If there's blood, cool. If there's no blood, cool. The quality of the storytelling that what makes the fighting interesting, not how much red I can see on the screen.

HOWEVER, if you're going to show a character getting a big-ass hole blasted through his body (the Raditz fight, for example), then you'd better commit to that big-ass hole. If Goku gets a hole blasted through him in this movie, they'd better not show him without that hole. If you do, then you've got a continuity error and that drives me insane. I hope it's not as bad as Kei stated.

One things for sure, I'd sure love to see a DBZ film with the quality of animation Strong World / Film Z had.

Well kei17 said that the animation in Resurrection F was better than BOG. So that's a bonus.

Then they can make Resurrection of B(uu). It would be basically a more fleshed out adaptation of the Uub stuff at the end of Z, that ends with the Kanzenban ending.

Perhaps, but I think Togashi can be light hearted if he wants to, like in Level E. I find his series similar to Toriyama's anyway

I believe thats one of the few songs that stayed and wasn't ripped off.

Well, actually, Saiyan Blood and News of the Cell Games were the two songs that were removed along with the Yamamoto score. But that's another story. Regarding Resurrection F. I'm staying up now so that I can see the summary when it gets posted!

If any other mangaka is gonna handle Dragon Ball, I'd have Yoshihiro Togashi, Hideaki Sorachi and/or Yusuke Murata to write and draw it rather than Oda.

If I had to choose from those, Oda would be my pick.
Even though HxH and Gintama are my top 3( together with Dragon Ball) I don't know how much good they would do in DB word.

In other hand, Oda is always saying how he loves Dragon Ball and I believe he would know how to deal better wih DB, unlike Togashi and Sorachi.
Seeing how One Piece rolls and the adventure feeling I get from it.

Nope. Sorbet's surprise beam penetrates Goku's body, but the hole was not there like how they censored the Makankosappo scene in Kai.

I don't think he gets Dragon Ball like the other 3 though. In fact, I don't find One Piece at all similar to Dragon Ball in the same vein as Gintama and Hunter x Hunter outside of a few similarities here and there between Luffy & Goku.

I say, liking Dragon Ball alone won't make Oda writing in the same way as Toriyama does, or even as Toei's staff does. He'll just make One Piece from Dragon Ball, which would be rather... weird. One Piece is pretty similar in the way to first like fourty or fifty episodes of Dragon Ball (there was even all that stuff about pirates there, yeah), but after it Dragon Ball starts going into the completely different direction from One Piece.
