Would Goku be more powerful if Elder Kai made him "Mystic?"

It wouldn't make him more powerful, but it would likely lead to the potential of him becoming stronger down the road. By this I mean it would work like when he took the Choshinsui (am I spelling that right?), went SSJ, SSJ2, etc; essentially, making him reach his limits, so under the right conditions, he breaks through them and reaches a new potential.

It definitely would have worked better than relying on SSJ3, either way.

Goku would be powerful if he had all his potential unlocked. I don't think he would be as powerful as "Mystic" Gohan, purely for the fact that Gohan had much more domart power that could be tapped into, but Goku would certainly be stronger than a SSJ3.

I doubt it. He'd be as strong as his SSJ3 form, no? Meanwhile, the only other SSJ3 is Gotenks and he's leaps and bounds beyond Goku.

Well, if nothing else, Goku would have been able to beat kid Buu if he had the same type of power-up as Gohan. He would have been no weaker than he was at Super Saiyan 3, but without the rapid Ki burn.

- Can Gohan ever become any more powerful than the Elder Kaioshin made him? (For example, does the Saiyan near-death powerup increase overall potential while tapping into more, or does it only tap into more potential?)

- Does Goku have less (or more) maximum potential than Gohan?

- With training, can the rapid Ki burn involved with Super Saiyan 3 be reduced?

Originally I'd say no not that much more powerful. But apparently Goku and Vegeta have limitless potential now...so yeah they'd be unbelievably strong now.

I see goku and vegeta reaching their potential and through training/God form. They break it. Like when driving down a long road. You get road blocks either you stop there or you find a way around it. See gohan in buu saga never trainer however is potential was miles away from he was in the early bit of the saga. I just see gohan having a more open road then goku and vegeta did.

Not as strong as Gohan sure, but...stacking on Kaioken? After all, it was only disused because of Super Saiyan. But if Goku has enough potential to reach SSJ2 or SSJ3 levels, without using the transformation-Well he'd be a monster.

At the very least, it no longer significantly affects Gohan - Dende healed him and Buu commented that he hadn't gotten any stronger.

Intially gohan would be powerful but goku constantly trains. So his potential would increase. Also no transformation stamina burn would be something he wants. I mean when they said gohan became mystic he became super Saiyan one or 2 in level? Goku became super Saiyan three before then and possibly he could have became a mystic super Saiyan 3. However now that goku absorbed God power this mystic power is worthless or well close to worthless. Also I don't think he could sit down for 24 or more hours to have old Kai finish it

Would the potential unlocking leading to insane levels of power lead to any complications with the use of the Kaio-ken? It puts a massive strain on the users body, so if they are already at their limit, would it mean it affects them quicker?

Goku's maximum potential was reached very early in the series. Since then, he's hit walls and broken through them. I don't believe he has any more "potential" to be unlocked.
