So, not only did Vegeta fight a totally spent Freeza, but he was scared to take him on in the first place! All of my lols.

Oh I can't wait til they see this. Will they still think Vegeta was as impressive as Goku now even though he fought a severely weakened Freeza and was too scared to fight a full power Freeza. Also not happy that no new form gets any real explanation, and Ultimate Gohan seemingly is gone forever. Still the movie sounds like fun overall, even if it's really light on story.

I'm also glad that they may not have said that 1.3 million level line. I know you really wanted that so the status quo of power levels would be shattered.

The guy speaks about ''Pride'' and how much Goku doesnt have ''Pride'' yet he battle's a very and I mean very worn down Frieza with no momentum due to being owned by Goku. Guess Toriyama doesnt plan on making Vegeta equal to Goku, there will always be a gap.

I hate to say it, and I'm never gonna be as vitrolic about it as some others have...but getting a full summary, this does all finally feel a little...underwhelming.

I'm sure I'm gonna still enjoy the movie, and I greatly look forward to an even more in-depth description of what happens in it, but...I dunno. Maybe I set myself up for wanting something much grander than what this sounds like it is. I'm feeling kind of like I did when I came away from Legendary's Godzilla, which was a mixture of 'that was pretty good, but man, I kind of expected something even better than what I got'. Of course, this could all change when I actually see the film.

Speaking of which. Looking at the summary, I just realized something. This film is just a flat-out inferior version of movie 12.

That was an excellent read. It really sounds there's some hilarious moments and some fantastic action set pieces in this film. I'm looking forward to seeing them in motion!

I do see Kei's point about it feeling a bit disjointed and lacking any real 'plot'. If the film jumps between Freeza's revival and his arrival as fast as the summary makes out, I can see that being quite an annoying issue.

Either way, it sounds like 'the old films done right', I think. I am disappointed that there appears to be less build up and character development compared to Battle of Gods, but at the same time, I'm looking forward to seeing our heroes kick the ever loving shit out of each other again.

The 'Blueper Saiyan' honestly seems like nothing. It's just a colour swap for the sake of symbolising an absorbed form. I think some people were expecting a momentous occasion like the transformation in Battle of Gods, but that really doesn't seem to be the case. I'm actually very happy about that. I didn't really want it to be a big deal. God, we've had enough transformations to last us a life time.

Well, here's hoping it's as fun to watch as it was to read. It may not be Battle of Gods, but I don't think that stops it from being a very enjoyable experience. From what Kei and Julian said, that's exactly what it is.

I'm content. I never thought the film would be bad, but I also didn't have super huge expectations for it, so I'm not really let down. Actually, I think I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would. The only disappointment is I thought Freeza would be taken just liiiiittle more seriously and that there might be some more world building after Battle of Gods and recent interviews. Freeza's treatment doesn't really bother me though, and we could still get more tidbits for Resurrection F era interviews. So I have no need to complain about anything.

On Gohan's defense, I think the guy never trained again unlike Goku and Vegeta. I mean they do get weaker when they dont maintain their training as stated by Vegeta while Gohan was fighting with Dabura, that he was stronger as a kid. I wouldnt blame Gohan tho, unlike Goku he actually works and lives like a human + with a wife like Videl I would understand him not wanting to train
