Krillin was able to pierce Vegeta's body on Namek once he lowered his guard and the power difference between them is much bigger..

Vegeta purposely lowered his power level so Krillin could harm him.

Sounds like a fun movie that I will surely enjoy watching. Again, I'm not sure what kind of story some here are expecting from a Dragon Ball movie. It's not supposed to follow some strict internal logic, it's supposed to be just fun to watch.

I don't think the power gap between Krillin and Vegeta was as much as the power gap between SSG Goku and a guy who's weaker than Zarbon... not even close. In that case, it was Vegeta purposely lowering it allll the way down so even a weakling like Krillin could pierce him. But whatever.

What I'm curious about is, didn't Goku already have SSG's power absorbed in the last movie...? That's what Beerus said, and that's what Toriyama said. Is there actually any difference between the blue SSG and the red SSG? Because if that blue one is 50x stronger I call bullshit.

- So we never learn how Freeza trained
- Shisami who has almost the same power lever as Zarbon and Dodoria can fight against Piccolo
- Freeza killed Gohan who is almost as strong as a SSJ3
- Vegeta fights Goku so that he lets him fight Freeza (childish reaction)
- Golden Freeza can keep up with SSJ God Goku (at least in the beginning)
- Vegeta becomes SSJ God out of nowhere

That's sounds more like a Fanmade movie to me.
I hope that the VAs (especially the Funimation ones) can convince us with their acting because all this seems too unrealistic!

However after reading the summary, I'm surprised to see how Gohan and even Piccolo got so much weaker. I mean how is it that Piccolo is losing to Shisami, who is on par with the likes of Zarbon and Dodoria? It doesnt make sense, after Piccolo fused with Kami he ascended past a Super Saiyan level, yet he loses to someone weaker than a Super Saiyan?

Sorbet doesn't say Shisami is as strong as Zarbon and Dodoria. His line was a little ambiguous.

I can safely say I'm gonna love this movie. Was exactly what I expected from it.

It fits with the theme that Goku let his guard down, and from the way we see how it works in DBZ, if you let your guard down that means you can get taken out by a much weaker attack.

Your ki is like a shield that you use to block an attack, so if someone attacks from an angle or way you don't expect, you can still be vulnerable. Or if you just put down the shield because you think you're safe.

Not an unreasonable thing to ask for a sequel to actually build off of what the previous one setup instead of making a worthless fan service fest that resembles the 90s filler movies more than a proper continuation. Doesn't help that a lot of the movie is capable of happening only thanks to contrivances and retcons too. The cherry on this cake of shit is the two year wait for a movie that's basically nothing in the grand scheme of things, and no a new transformation (its really just a recolor) and DB characters training (never seen that before) doesn't count.

It's canon not cannon. A manga example is Trunks knocking Majin Boo down and Vegeta distracted Cell.

The movie sounds terrible, but a few good things did come out of it for me. Vegeta got to humiliate Freeza and more Beerus and Whis. That's all I care about.

Hopefully Akira's done. He's really dragging the DB name through the mud at this point. BoGs was decent, but this sounds like it was outright terrible. No story. Barely any character development. Mindless action. Not to mention the power levels are just all over the place. A guy as strong as Zarbon and Dodoria beats Piccolo who in turn is easily beaten by a Gohan who doesn't even know if he can go SSJ anymore? Meh, just really not my cup of tea.
