If you could have any composer work on DB, who would it be?

Post by SuperSaiyanHedgehog » Fri Apr 03, 2015 10:36 pm

Judging from what I've read on this site, there are a number of people who dislike Norihito Sumitomo's musical scores. Although I personally enjoy his work, I have a question for these people and anyone else who would like to answer: If you could have any musical composer who is still working in the industry work on Dragon Ball in some form, whether it be for a new movie, anime series, or video game, who would it be?

My choice? Three words: Hiroyuki F**king Sawano. I gush at the thought of him composing for DB, and would love to see what kind of incredible musical brilliance he would bring to the series. If the music he would theoretically compose for DB was similar to Yamamoto or Kikuchi in its sound, while still containing his signature style, we would be in for a particularly awesome soundtrack.

Joel Douek (guy who did the 4Kids Yu-Gi-Oh! score)

Yoshihisa Hirano, the man is just freaking too much. He is the ultimate anime composer for me. I'd love to have him do something for DB!!

Yuki Kajiura.

If you haven't heard any of her work, you're doing yourself a huge disservice.

Kenji Yamamoto. But otherwise, I'd have who ever tidied the music for Tenchi Muyo, but make sure he or she only brought their A game, because there are plenty of nothing tracks in Tenchi but also some damn good ones. Besides that, whoever composed music for Super Dragon Ball Z.
