Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection 'F'"

I kinda feel like a broken record needing to say this every time, but "Saiyan who has surpassed God" (神を超えたサイヤ人) is only the name of the "base" form "transformation" akin to Gohan's Ultimate state. The blue haired Super Saiyan has no name right now.

Dragon Ball Heroes could very well be teasing all this time, and they can update this non-altered form with the blue-haired version.

Dragon Ball Heroes could very well be teasing all this time, and they can update this non-altered form with the blue-haired version.

There's a reason I'm treating them like two forms too, because if they were just going to substitute one form out for the other after the 18th, they wouldn't need the "dual" transformation mechanic. The swapping would would render the mechanic on the card pointless. There will be two forms, regardless of what the name of the blue form is. Could it end up sharing the same name? Sure, but nothing implies that until they actually unveil it. So for the time being, using that name for an entirely different form is inaccurate and only serving to confuse people about what is being discussed.

That is what I've been trying to call it almost everywhere...but it confuses people (partially because of the above stuff) and I have to resort to saying something "blue". :/

They are tied. They are tied to concept of Saiyans, and they have none in common with their original concept, which is my point.

The Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God had no previous link to anything so it having a unique colour is fine. In GT Goku become an Oozaru, then a yellow Oozaru like how the Saiyans hair turns yellow but then he reverts back to a man but now his fur is red when it would have made more sense and would have looked better had his hair and fur stayed yellow.

That was for the sake of censure. That's all.

It is just some kind of new form. It makes as much sense as SSJ God Goku having red or blue hair for no real reason.

It wasn't a new form, it was just the same fusion as every other time. In the past it combined the colours of the hair, straight forward and simple but with SSJ4 Gogeta it just happens to magically turn red, black mixed with dark brown = red...

There's a difference in the type of SSJ God with the Red and Blue versions with the latter being mixed with something else so a colour change at least makes a little sense. What would have been stupid is if Vegeta was Blue while Goku was Red.

The SSJ4 design looks completely out of place whereas the SSJG doesn't. I find it to believe that Toriyama designed it actually.

Regarding the film - does anyone get the feeling from reading the summary that the film lacks a distinct middle portion. It seems to move from a lengthy opening filled with comedy, right into action, action, and more action. It reads like two acts rather than the standard three. I wonder if the film were longer, and spent a little more time on Whis training Goku and Beerus, it might smooth things over somewhat. The lack of any exposition regarding Freeza's training doesn't really bother me as I feel it would ruin the transformation scene for the character. I think that needs to stay secret to retain the 'wow-factor' we all love from those scenes. But yeah, I wonder whether folks will be wishing there was something more there when they see the film.

Hard to tell at this point, obviously, but I'm not sure whether the 1000-warrior fight really counts as a substantial 'middle'. I'm sure it's entertaining as hell, but I think it would have been cool to see a little more there. Maybe?

Saiyan Beyond God Goku and Saiyan Beyond God Vegeta would be absolutely dreadful names. So bad that I'm 99% sure that when an official name is given for it one day and there will be, that that will certainly not be it.

Beyond Saiyan God would be a better name and even that's lousy.

Nothing. It is just that is the only name provided by an official "place". After April 18th, I can't see me calling the "blue-haired" form by "Saiyan beyond God". If the movie doesn't provide a proper name and Dragon Ball Heroes keeps calling it that way, I'll rely on fans' names.

Honestly though, that's what it seems to be. Now that they have gained substantial control over the Godly ki, their Super Saiyan form likely becomes this naturally. Any cheesy fan name anyone might want to throw at it just seems unneeded.
