Okay, SSGSS Goku REALLY doesn't look thin in that clip. So if Toriyama made the "new" form thin again and Yamamuro copied that into the character design settei...I wonder why it didn't carry over to the film itself?

I don't understand how you guys understand how 2 chan/4 chan works. Its confusing to me.

They're forum threads that only live until they hit 1000 posts, gain a continuation thread in the 900's so people know where to go next, the old thread remains for 24 or so more hours, then gets deleted. My guesses for why it works that way instead of like a regular forum are a combination of saving server space and privacy concerns.

Unfortunately to post in them you have to have Japan IP (as far as I know) or be able to work around that somehow (someone from this forum did that once; I never did ask them how they did it.)

Ugh. Is it possible for Toei to NOT spoil something they're working on? At all? Because virtually every episode preview and title of DBZ has some sort of spoiler (including Kai). It's also apparent in One Piece, World Trigger, and Toriko.

They haven't officially spoilered Vegeta's ssjblue yet.

Keyword being "yet." It's only a matter of time until they do.

Unless we get another TV spot before then, I think it's safe to say they won't officially reveal it until after the film. (Though we may get another leak with next, next week's Jump scans before the film actually hits.)

For the record, Yamamuro did bring along two talented action animators. Hayashi Yuuki (character designer of Kyousougiga) and Watanabe Koudai (character designer of One Piece 3D2Y), although for now I can only say they were credited as 'assistant animation supervisors'.

True. I just realized the movie releases next weekend in Japan. I'm also surprised they've kept Goku's "new" form a secret until now (well, next week).

Anyone can translate what the subs say? Judging from the colors it looks like they explain exactly how all the forms works, golden, red & blue.

At least in Episode of Bardock we get to see a fine character with a fine transformation. Though, Dragon Ball Online didn't have to give Bardock a transformation, I don't know if the goddess Naho knows about it, but Episode of Bardock could surely expand Bardock's point of view of that game.

Episode of Bardock, in my experience, is almost universally agreed to be shit, so I don't have a clue what you're talking about.

Then he should have said that. As it's written, with the "fine character" and "goddess Naho" bit, it sounds more like a commendation of EoB, and a hope to see it involved in other stuff, which is beyond me.

Regardless, and more to the point, I don't see why the transformation is all that good, anyway. Visually, it is outdone by Goku's first SSJ transformation, and it has more of a callback to Vegeta's filler tantrum. Seeing how the whole thing is contrived nonsense to begin with spoils the transformation for me, anyway.

It's Gokû's description of what it is, but not what it's called/what its name is, as far as I know.

Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, as "超サイヤ人ゴッド SS" and "SSGSS", are plastered on the scan. Goku describes it as "Super Saiyan with the power of Super Saiyan God', which is also somewhere on the page...

It really would have been better if the previous red form had just been 'Saiyan God' or 'God Saiyan', allowing this form to be 'Super Saiyan God' or 'Super God Saiyan' or something. Lack of foresight on their part, but who could have known at the time that Battle of Gods would be the success it was and we'd be getting another new film so quickly.

Exactly this. Its a long and stupid name unnecessary. Its the only problem I have with the form.

The name, if that really is absolutely final, is basically the only problem I have as well (other than the uncertainty of why all the concepts will likely be thin, but the film keeps him buff). I'm with Gyt Kaliba here in wishing it would have been "Saiyan God" last movie and "Super Saiyan God" for this one, but it's too late now.

I do kind of wish they would have stuck with Heroe's naming naming scheme of calling his powered up base "Saiyan surpassing God" and the the new one "Super Sayan surpassing God". Sure they're still kinda long, but at least they don't seem redundant.
