I immediately picture one of those "Gokû moves around awkwardly in clothes he's not used to wearing." scenes that popped up in the manga a couple times. X3

While a transformation that includes a magical outfit is on my wishlist, I don't think I'd want something that overpoweringly shiny. @_@

Goku used to wear saiyan armor and he though it was actually pretty cool. and if he was wearing that golden armor, every villain would just shit his pants and goku could peacefully go back to training.

Time gets rewound to right before Vegeta is about to kill Freeza and the tyrant instead blows up Earth. Vegeta royally kicking Freeza's ass still remains, Goku just prevented Freeza from rage quitting.

He did, and so did Julian, because that's how Goku describes it in the film: Super Saiyan with the power of Super Saiyan God. But that still doesn't clarify anything on how the new/old/whatever-you- want-to-call-it form now functions. On the latest Kanzenshuu podcast, Julian said there is absolutely zero indication in the film that this form makes him any stronger than Super Saiyan God. The whole deal with him absorbing the god energy and then whatever this form does (whether it multiplies said god power or allows him access to the full power of SSG or something) is never elaborated on. The above statement Goku used to describe it is basically everything we get on the subject...

Which I think is probably something Goku would chalk up to a loss. I mean, he was mad enough about gaining SSJ God through his friends, I can't imagine he'd truly accept a victory from Whis' cheats! Vegeta is the one who really puts the work in to beat Freeza. It seems Goku knows that, as he does actually apologise, albiet in his own "wari wari" (わりー わりー) way.

Don't get me wrong, the focus is very much on Goku -- he is the main character, afterall -- I just feel the summary doesn't quite do justice to what Vegeta's role has been described as. By all accounts, Toriyama definitely gives Vegeta fans what they're hoping for; even if he does defy their expectations in his usual jokey way. I can't imagine many will be truly disappointed.

Hopefully there is an interview that explains how it all works becuase if it's super saiyan with the Super Saiyan God power couldn't he just turn into the Red SSJG(can he turn into that SSJG form anymore?) since according to others the Blue SSJG doesn't give a boost or does it?

Yeah, and like he said that he wanted Vegeta to star in a next movie, and it turned out to be another Kakarot movie. I hope Bardock makes his return, then, since he said we won't be able to see him again. for a stupid reason, of course

I do not think this movie was in the mind of Toriyama two years ago, is a film to relaunch the franchise.

Vegeta is on the same level of power that Goku for the first time since A19, if more movies, I think we will watch them both have their moments of glory

That it is. It's especially hard for anyone looking to, say, write stories that try to be as "canon" as they can be, to do so when so much about these things are still slightly unclear. These curveballs are both fun and infuriating at the same time, Toriyama.

Vegeta is the one who really puts the work in to beat Freeza. It seems Goku knows that, as he does actually apologise, albiet in his own "wari wari" (わりー わりー) way.

But Vegeta essentially didn't do the work. Goku did. He beat up Freeza to the point that a direct punch from Golden Freeza doesn't affect him no more. Then Sorbet gets the sneak attack to sideline Goku. Vegeta picks up where Goku left off and Freeza never got to recuperate. If Vegeta is billed as Goku's equal, then he's fighting a Freeza who can't even damage him no more. Hardly sounds like he did the work.

After 15 years of being my favorite form I believe that SSJ3 was dethroned today by Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan.

As just like Vegeta either skipped or got SSJ3 off screen he now has gotten red SSJG off screen and skipped straight to SSJGSSJ.

Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan isn't a new form,it's Ssj1 with Blue hair due to them absorbing Ssjg's power so chances are they'll eventually have to use Ssj2&3 again which will be Blue as well.

Vegeta has always been getting his forms off screen so this isn't anything new and in terms of Ssj3,I think he reached it sometime before Beerus went to earth but chose not to use it due to it's draw backs similar to not using Ussj against Cell.

However the absorbed Ssjg powers might be able to get rid of those drawbacks so hopefully we'll see him and Goku use it in a future movie.

Where are you getting any of this information about Vegeta going SSJ3 and choosing not to use it? Vegeta never achieved SSJ3. If you're somehow referring to DB Heroes, that doesn't even count in the storyline. Every character gets every freaking transformation possible in DB Heroes, it's just a giant what-if.

It's Yamamuro. Toriyama's version is partially visible on the Volume F special script thing being released alongside the movie. You can see part of his lovable mug in the image, and it is distinctly different.
