Isn't Golden Freeza confirmed to be playable?

He is, but only if you pre-order. Likewise, Goku from Resurrection F is playable as well, but only if you have demo data on your system.Nightstar1994 wrote:Isn't Golden Freeza confirmed to be playable?

The website updated with 4 new characters (Raditz, Nappa, Ginyu, C-18), many assist characters for me to list and team battle mode.

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden (3DS)
I just watched the new trailer and I'm not very impressed
The sprite animation is kind of jumpy, it looks like I'm watching a slide show. Hopefully it looks better on the actual 3DS.

Here's Resurrection of F's Goku's new form, playable if you have the demo first.
Spoiler:
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

BRUH!!! Gimmie that!
Re: Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden (3DS)
No but guys, a Nintendo Direct JP presentation.
About the overall animation, I don't know guys, it looks like usual ArcSys stuff and I don't see it as a bad thing honestly, sure it could look better but the way the frames are made seem to fit the action very well (AND THE NODS!). Also hopefully this confirms in-game transformations, at the beggining there's footage of Trunks in Super Saiyan with a Super Saiyan portrait and a bit later in the video there's the same Trunks but with his normal portrait.

Didn't Bardock confirmed in-game transformations in one of these trailers?
Re: Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden (3DS)
Kinda, characters in the trailer transformed but again, due to no portrait change, I was sceptical about it being something just for the trailers or some kind of Super Move (specially for Adult Gohan since we had no footage of him as a Super Saiyan yet but were aware that he would be in his Ultimate state), add to the 20 characters shown in the trailer and the 24 slots in the website, it kinda made sense to fit transformed Goku, Teen Gohan, Vegeta and Bardock in the missing slots, however now with Trunks and Adult Gohan, it's safe to assume those 4 missing slots won't be transformed versions of the characters.Dyno wrote:Didn't Bardock confirmed in-game transformations in one of these trailers?

Any chance a possible Greatest Hits and Platinum Hits release will have all of the DLC put on the disc later down the line?

If Namco stops fucking around and release the game in NA I'm sure it will have all characters in the game.Hellspawn28 wrote:Any chance a possible Greatest Hits and Platinum Hits release will have all of the DLC put on the disc later down the line?

Neither Bandai Namco nor Nintendo offer a budget line for 3DS software. In fact, outside of some PS Vita games, I can't really recall any "Game of the Year" or DLC bundled re-releases for handheld games.Hellspawn28 wrote:Any chance a possible Greatest Hits and Platinum Hits release will have all of the DLC put on the disc later down the line?
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

Well, Bandai Namco is having their big conference in Las Vegas right now. I don't know if there are any more reveals scheduled for later, but it's not looking too hot for an Extreme Butoden North American release right now. Apparently Americans care more about a Dimps-developed Saint Seiya game than an Arc System Works fighter.

Saint Seiya apparently was/is frickin' HUGE in Latin America, which is why the game is receiving Spanish and Portuguese dubs but not English.Lance Freeman wrote:Well, Bandai Namco is having their big conference in Las Vegas right now. I honestly didn't know there was some symposium going on though. I've only seen Saint Seiya and Naruto Storm 4 mentioned so I would've thought that they'd have more to talk about.
I wouldn't be too worried about the lack of an Extreme Butouden western release at this point, though. E3 is like a week after the game releases in Japan; if we don't hear anything by or during then, that might be the time to start feeling uneasy about it.

Well I'm a idiot and I posted that post in the wrong thread. I meant to post that post in that Xenoverse threadSuper Saiyan Prime wrote:Neither Bandai Namco nor Nintendo offer a budget line for 3DS software. I really really want to like this game, but every video I watch the character animation looks bad, it's too jerky. I'll be kinda disappointed if this gets a US/EUR localization before Heroes.
Re: Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden (3DS)
I don't think Heroes will ever come over, completely different market, kids aren't into Dragon Ball Z and collecting cards like they were 15 years ago.UpFromTheSkies wrote:I really really want to like this game, but every video I watch the character animation looks bad, it's too jerky. Yeah. I was hoping it would get that KOF treatment with all of those pretty sprites. One can dream.UpFromTheSkies wrote:I really really want to like this game, but every video I watch the character animation looks bad, it's too jerky.
Then again, Dragon ball was never big on really smooth animation... usually.

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden (3DS)
Hey, I have this pre-ordered on CDJapan. I have a black New 3DS XL and a blue 3DS XL. I'm going to hopefully use my blue 3DS for this game. Here's the thing. Mike said that the exploit was patched with an update. Do I have to update to access the internet browser? Or should I just cancel my order?
