Maybe Broly had green hair because he was so strong that he was basically like a fusion between SSJ (yellow hair) with SSJ God SSJ (blue hair).

This was Toriyama's opportunity to make something flashy and over-the-top (cape anyone?) after the minimalism of SSJG and Gold Freeza, but no... let's continue this trend of unexpected, but without the interesting bit. Nice. Maybe SSJSSJG2 will be eve more interesting, like base Goku but without pupils!

The trend Toriyama's been moving toward is LESS flashy. That's why we've seen a lean, simple Super Saiyan God, and why it's doubtful we'll see Super Saiyan 2 or 3 anymore. Why the heck would he get a cape? That makes no sense. What god in Dragon Ball doesn't have pupils?

Eventually, collective scepticism and reservations about 'new' forms always segues into begrudged acceptance, then indifference, and then, finally, affection.

I don't see anyone being crazy over SSJ2 sans Gohan in Cell arc. It was too similar for other characters to SSJ1 and that opinion hardly change in 2 decades.

I've never been that big a ssj fan to begin with. Majority of my saiyajin doodles have them in base.

Kaio-ken was my favorite for years until magenta ssjg Gokû dethroned it.
I still like kaio-ken a lot. The looks, the way you can multiply it, the dangers involved. Kaio-ken's so cool.

Ah i see,yes i read the scan now.So ssj god + super saiyan.Definitely stronger.

Either way cant wait to see freeza go nuts when goku transforms into his new form haha.

I wish we had this name-giving creativity back when SSJ2 and SSJ3 were revealed too.

SSJ2 = Super Saiyan Beyond Super Saiyan = SSJBSSJ

SSJ3 = Super Saiyan Above Super Saiyan Beyond Super Saiyan = SSJASSJBSSJ

I like the design, but I don't think this needed to even exist. I was totally okay with them axing all transformations and just having them fight in base from now on with maybe regular SSJ sticking around as a small boost or to shut fans up.

That's pretty much it. It's so unbelievably difficult to care about Super Saiyan forms anymore. And this one just came way too soon.

I don't see why this "form" is that big of a deal. It's Super Saiyan while using God ki, which turns the traits blue. If they had said the exact same thing, that Goku was now using the power of Super Saiyan God in his Super Saiyan form (as many already believed in the last movie), but without the blue hair...would anyone even care about this?

Because nowadays people complain about everything. If they complain about Kame-sennin fighting and not Trunks and Goten imagine if they didn't like some transformation.

At the end of the day, it doesn't really bother me and I've got no problem with it. I do wish they would have stuck with the "training in their base form" thing they seemed to have before.

So then... clearly the blue hair is the problem? You just explained it yourself.

We already had a Super Saiyan using the power of Super Saiyan God and people weren't complaining about the form. But now suddenly it's a thing with the blue hair.

I think I'll just stick with the name Super Saiyan (God Ki) because thats really what it is, a god ki upgraded super saiyan.

I am glad they didnt throw away all the ssj forms and stayed in their base forms all the time and just powering up like in the saiyan saga.

They kept the ssj1 look,changed the color to not be the exact same thing so its nice,since i like the ssj1 form,its a classic and best form.

I dont mind not being any ssj2 and 3 god forms,2 is cool but ye and 3 it looks cool on goku and gotenks(i would say ssj3 fits gotenks the best,more so than goku),but on vegeta not so much IMO ^^.
