I look at Goku's old forms, and he looked more powerful with each one. Even his base accentuated his immense strength while staying true to the character's roots/nature.
Then I look at his new forms, and I can't begin to grasp what Toriyama was going for. A cute, skinnier base Goku with magenta hair and eyes is in another dimension of strength compared to SSJ3, which was the most powerful, beastly and intimidating transformation of his. And now his SSJ is blue, which Toriyama himself admitted is a weak color. Just... why is he doing this? He acknowledges it! I just don't understand! How I miss the manliness of the series.

Hmmm I'm not sure what to think of the look of this new form, I definitely think the original God form looked better. I don't know if the blue really suits him, maybe it's something that'll look better in motion and with the aura to boot.
Afterall this
Doesn't look nearly as good as this when the auras included.

Waaugh I miss him already and I haven't even seen F yet.
I still haven't found out if magenta ssjg Gokû makes an appearance like in Toyotaro's manga or not. ^^;
That magenta lightning on the poster looks like it may have just been one big horrible tease.

I admit, I have taken a bit of a liking to SSJG Goku recently. I miss the manliness, but I can't deny that form is cute and has neat aura...

It was an unexpected twist and I appreciate the element of "surprise-I'm-strong" in magenta ssjg that I felt was kind of missing since Gokû's growth spurt.

I didn't like Super Saiyan God when I saw the leaked art but after seeing the form in action I loved it and its the same with SSJ (God Ki).
I dont mind that they dont look big and manly, it may be because of my love of Frieza but I always loved the idea of a characters final and strongest form being the one that looks the weakest. I personaly like Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan (God Ki) more then Legendary Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 4. And before people start trying to rage I like both those forms too, just not as much.

I was actually referring to the name of the form, but linked the article for measure.
Also, wow that battle ad made me like the form a TON more.

The CG is strong with those scenes.... I didnt quite like it... I prefer the old battle animation styles....

I'm not a huge fan of the new form but at least he looks kinda godly with this light blue tone (which is, coincidentally, reminiscent of Kaio's skin color and Kaioshin's hair color). The original Super Saiyan God just looked like a oily Pokémon Goku set on fire.

Goku looks cool in SSJG SS form. And that Frieza song in the BG makes fight better.
