Re: What fan fiction would actually make a good series?
While Multiverse would potentially be interesting to see, my #1 vote would go to ol' Kaboom's DBGT Revised. If it wasn't for the new slew of movies coming out, I'd only half-jokingly suggest someone mail transcripts to Toei already.
Second vote would go to...crap...I can't remember the author's name at the moment (they're a poster here though), but they wrote a fanfic 'Journey's End' that depicts the 'last' battle between Goku and Vegeta and circumstances leading up to it, based on the plot thread we had from the Dragon Ball Online timeline. It wouldn't be a series, but it'd make a pretty great film/special.
Normally this is where I'd also pimp my own fanfiction next, but since it's not finished yet and I'm not 100% sure on where to fix things up to make them coincide with some of the newer material...

I know its not Dragon Ball Multiverse.
Maybe Dragon Ball New Age or GT revised as a retcon.

If I say my own, would that make me seem arrogant?

Anyone remembers Universe F?
Pity that it was discontinued, since in this two chapters author managed to catch action and established a nice and tense situation between characters.

Anything BUT Multiverse. From Broly > SSJ3 Vegetto to Bra's character in general, making Multiverse a actual series would be about 1 step forward for making fan works official, and 50 steps backward for making fan works official.

Considering that, no matter how many criticisms we have regarding DBM, it's pretty clear that it's one of the better fan-mangas/fan-fictions, anything will not do.KentalSSJ6 wrote:Anything BUT Multiverse.

I thought SSJG Vegeto beat Broly.

He did... His exaggeration is so strong that he even made that mistake. But it wasn't SSJG Vegetto, it was SSJ3 Vegetto.Polyphase Avatron wrote:I thought SSJG Vegeto beat Broly.
Actually SSJ3 Vegetto defeated Broly in one attack in DBM, so SSJ 3 Vegetto > Broly.KentalSSJ6 wrote:From Broly > SSJ3 Vegetto

Not to mention that Freeza took 4 months to become that strong, and Broly took decades in DBM...

Re: What fan fiction would actually make a good series?
I find it pretty funny that people are looking down on fan fiction in this thread when the latest film had gems such as:
. An old villain being revived
. Freeza training for 4 months and becoming stronger than SSJG Goku
. Golden Freeza
. Blue haired SSJs
. Broken, hand holding ass pull power ups >>> Vegito.
Bad sounding fan fiction is already part of the series

Re: What fan fiction would actually make a good series?
Indeed. I can't even look down on fan-fictions (never liked them) nowadays. Many of their concepts/ideas/thoughts/schemes... Are occuring in the original materials. Crazy times, huh.
Re: What fan fiction would actually make a good series?
None. The way that most execution about the ideas in any fan fiction seems far too amateurish to even consider making it a proper series. Most of the characters in fan fiction seems too much OOC and most fan fiction authors seems to like making more muscles and cool looking characters to be more powerful. Sure, the ideas in them might be great but that's all, it's only the concept that looks good.
I ask thou, WHY MUST IT BE ME?
Your weakness is your strength.
Are you reading this? If you are, I just want to let you know that I'm a GREAT GUY.

The Potaras were already broken asspull power-ups to begin with. The Monkey King wrote:. Broken, hand holding ass pull power ups >>> Vegito.

Maybe he could discover that the bracelets and necklace he's wearing are also holding back his power, and when he removes them his muscles become so big that he looks like a big round ball of muscle with hands poking out on the sides, and a glowing green tuft of hair at the top. He could be called Super Broly Ball Saiyanrereboy wrote:All this with the excuse that Freeza is a prodigy and if that excuse works, well, potential and being a prodigy is something that Broly has plenty of...
Re: What fan fiction would actually make a good series?
There's so many possibilities, especially since we are talking about multiple universes... For example, a universe where Broly's father, with mind control, made Broly go through zenkai after zenkai, gruesome toughening conditions after gruesome toughening conditions, to make sure Broly was the strongest, before he tried to take over planets and before he encountered Vegeta and Goku. That would result in Broly being WAY stronger than in movie 8 and in him killing everybody including his father in an alternative take of movie 8. He would then go on destroying and fighting throughout the universe becoming even stronger before he got to DBM.UpFromTheSkies wrote:Maybe he could discover that the bracelets and necklace he's wearing are also holding back his power, and when he removes them his muscles become so big that he looks like a big round ball of muscle with hands poking out on the sides, and a glowing green tuft of hair at the top. Re: What fan fiction would actually make a good series?
I would definitely give multiverse a shot. A bit of refinement on the story and a full production staff would make it a great product.
As for GT revised, there really isn't any excuse it hasn't been adopted over the official version already.
