I strongly encourage everyone to read Jaco before going into this film. If you're prepared for his inclusion, he easily steals the show. One of Toriyama's most fun and lovable characters on screen to date.

The whole episode doesn't look similar. It's the only three seconds in the episode that employs thick outlines and a detailed, closely framed distortion of a character's form as they move in an exaggerated manner. Anyone actually watching the scene within the context of the episode will actually be able to pick up on these things, but your argument relies on cherry-picking facts and presenting them outside of the context they exist. Now you have the gumption to use this out-of-context three second cut on a forum dedicated solely to an entirely separate franchise to lord over being 'even worse' without even taking the responsibility of defending your argument.

It's really no different from a lot of the feedback from Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu no F being out of context, vague and ill-described with little thought placed into the manner in which ideas are expressed. There's a lot of saying of 'what' but not a whole lot of saying of 'why'.

I actually can explain a bit about why it's unfitting to me if you really want to. It's unfitting because it contrasts too much with the regular art in the series and the whole segment and fight is supposed to be dramatic and tense and that look doesn't feel dramatic or tense at all to me. It's feels more comedic than anything, which only gets worse with stuff like him running around like sonic and getting hit with a pillar several times like the Wild Coyote. And the ugliness also isn't fitting, imo... If they wanted to represent Pain's character, they should have gone with a slightly twisted look that was still dramatic and tense but that still didn't contrast that much with the rest of the series and just made him look like he had been slightly twisted. Pain is not exactly a ugly character like Orochimaru, he wants the greater good, it's just his logic that has been twisted.

As for why it looks ugly and bad, I'm sorry but you will just have to accept that people can have opinions on how something looks without being able to write an essay on it or needing to write an essay on it to have an valid opinion.

Also, you really should tone down your assumptions... Half of what you say in that post in off the mark and is starting to be insulting.

Is there a reason why Goku can't/won't use SSJ2 or 3 with God ki as well?
If he couldn't finish Frieza without going back in time, why not just go SSJ2 then? Is it like learning the forms all over again?

We still don't know the strength difference between SSJG and SSJGSSJ, but if he went SSJGSSJ2, then he should be at least 2x as strong, right?

I'm pretty sure it's because SSGSS is simply SSJ with the power of SSJG (apparently that's exactly how Goku explains it in the film as well). It's not stronger than the SSJG form from BoGs. It's just the full power of that form, so I'm guessing in order to bring out its full power he needs SSJ since he can't manage to bring out its full power in base.

The whole point is that Goku/Vegeta, if responsible could have easily dealt with golden Freeza. They never needed more power, just more common sense.

I don't remember every little detail, but...

Spoiler:

...after Vegeta and Freeza talk some trash, Vegeta shows that he, too, can go Super Saiyan Blue. After that, Freeza fires a ton of blasts that Vegeta just casually walks through, before throwing a few punches and kicks that send Freeza flying back. Freeza, reverts back into his 4th form, falls to his knees, and starts cursing himself. Vegeta walks over to do a Big Bang Attack, but Freeza, hands already touching the ground, sends a Death Ball into lathe Earth and destroys the entire planet.

The fight was very reminiscent of Vegeta fighting #19.

While we dont know the exact power difference the reason Goku dosent use ss2 or 3 is because they burn through a lot energy just to maintain them so in the long run they are not that useful. Just look at Goku's fight with Kid Buu, over using SS3 in the fight caused him to pass out. The same thing would likely happen even with his god power and in a life or death fight the last thing you want his waste your stamina.

@bold part, that is exactly how I interpret it makes sense, I mean it took him 7 years (or there abouts) to master Super Saiyan 3 and even then he could only really use the form properly in Other World, so imagine mastering SS3 with God Ki not in Other World, gonna take sometime.
