Toriyama did say that the movies (1-13) take place in "different dimensions." Perhaps these different dimensions and universes are one in the same. If that were the case they could easily be split into 12 Universes.

If we were to group the different "dimensions" together with existing Dragon Ball media, it could equal out to 12 Universes.
Universe 1: Dead Zone/Anime Universe
Universe 2: World's Strongest Universe
Universe 3: Lord Slug Universe
Universe 4: Cooler Universe
Universe 5: Android 13 universe
Universe 6: Broly/Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans Universe
Universe 7: Manga Universe. Including Battle of Gods, Revival of F, Minus, Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!! and possibly Dragon Ball Online/Xenoverse
Universe 8: Bojack Universe
Universe 9: Janemba Universe
Universe 10: Wrath of Dragon Universe
Universe 11: Bardock Universe (Both Animated Specials)
Universe 12: GT Universe

Some of the movies share characters from others such as Fusion Reborn and Broly mentioned in Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans. GT seems to be a sequel to a Universe where at least Dead Zone, Cooler's Revenge, Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans and Fusion Reborn took place.

I guess you could order the Universes differently as the ones closer to Universe 7 would be more aligned with the canon such as Bojack Unbound and Wrath of the Dragon. The farther the Universes are from each other, they more different they are. Fusion Reborn and GT seem to share many traits from the movies, so it's possible that instead of the universes being in a "order" they actually overlap each other.

You made a whole topic to this were it was explained that's not how the universes are implied to work. There are almost certainly not going to be alternate Gokus in the other 11 universes. Those are restricted to timelines.

Spoiler:

1st God: Pale skin alien(tragic anti-hero)

2nd God: Shao Kahn humanoid that only uses hand-to-hand combat(villain/Chaotic Evil)

3rd God: A snake skinned female serpentine with a giant cobra transformation(villain/Chaotic Evil)

4th God: Humanoid samurai swordsman(Neutral-Good)

5th God: Dark skinned alien Zeus(Antagonist/Neutral-Evil)

6th God: Shinnok lookalike(Neutral)

7th God: A sphinx(which is Beerus)(Antagonist/Neutral-Good)

8th God: A fast humanoid one(Good)

9th God: A fusion of a human and a gorilla(mostly inspired by King Kong). He's the saiyan progenitor(Good)

10th God:A lighthearted Kai(Whis). Maybe later in the story, it can be revealed that he's the true king of all kais.(Good)

11th God: A black frail woman humanoid, similar to Storm from X-Men.(Good)

12th and Strongest: A muscular Neptune inspired humanoid. He can be considered the true antagonist of the series. He was the one who created the dragon balls, gave King Piccolo the orders to bring down earth, gave Frieza the orders to treat the Saiyans like shit, and influenced organizations such as the Red Ribbon Army. He also has a bulky demon transformation(Ultimate Villain/Both Neutral and Chaotic Evil)

Another one I have are Goku's god transformations.

Super Saiya God 1: Basically the form now, but a sky blue color

Super Saiyan God 2: An ape inspired transformation. Goku's hair goes into a SSJ2-esque style, but shaprer, his arms and legs turn into semi dark blue fur, his eyes glow white, sports red lightning, and the aura gets into a darker navy blue color.

Super Saiyan God 3: A drastic transformation! All of skin turns into fur, including his face, his hair grows very long, a mixture of a SSJ3&4, grows a tail, grows sharp teeth his eyes now glow red, lightning turns to black, and the aura is a mixture of black and galaxy blue.

I know this will never happen but I would love to see a DC/Marvel/DBZ battle. Let's see how well Goku and the Z-warriors can do against DC/Marvel heroes. It doesn't have to be a battle to the death, just a friendly tournament.

I'd rather see DC and Marvel team up with the Z-Fighters rather than fight against each other and further create divisions between Goku fans and Superman fans.
