Sorbet taking out Goku had nothing to do with the ring. It goes back to what Whis said during their training, which was that no matter how powerful you are the body is a fragile thing if caught unprepared and off-guard. Whis told Goku this. Goku didn't listen. He let his guard down and and payed the price. Perhaps now he'll listen to the advice Whis gave him.

Sorbet taking out Goku had nothing to do with the ring. It goes back to what Whis said during their training, which was that no matter how powerful you are the body is a fragile thing if caught unprepared and off-guard. Whis told Goku this. Cell begs to differ. He didn't pay attention to Krillin and he wasn't even budged nor hurt. Freeza was smacked by Goku when he wasn't expecting it in their fight on Namek, and he wasn't hurt at all.

That's literally lowering his power level by trillions(could be quadrillions of times)

So yeah the ring itself is strong and besides Sorbet knew how strong Goku had gotten over the years so it would make sense he had some sort of back up plan to deal with Goku

He can't physically do anything to him. Boo was caught off guard by Trunks and that did nothing to him. Gaps don't suddenly vanish just cause someone ain't looking. When the gap is super wide it's impossible to harm someone.

Not paying attention does not equate to letting your guard down, being complacent, or being unprepared. In Naruto when Kakashi does his bell test with Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura he pays them no mind and just reads his book, but not once does he ever let his guard down, get complacent, or end up caught unprepared.

Either way, I'm going to trust the guy who taught the God of Destruction everything he knows and is now teaching Goku and Vegeta and has been around for millions of years. He has no reason to say it if it isn't true.

Where did you get that Goku was going to finish of Freeza?

In the movie summary iirc he was walking up to kill him then Sorbet shot him with his ring so what i want to know is why would Goku lower his power lvl by such a huge factor when he's going to kill Freeza.

Finally, Goku launches a massive Kamehameha at Freeza, which he attempts to repel with a blast of his own. It is no use, however; the tyrant is utterly defeated. As Goku stands above him, Freeza hauls himself up on the water’s edge, erupting in rage and humiliation… followed by a smirk. Just then, a bolt of energy comes from behind Freeza and pierces Goku straight through the heart: it was Sorbet with his ring. Freeza then takes out his pent-up rage on Goku, kicking and stomping on his chest repeatedly.

Goku is standing right above Freeza smirking and Goku knows at this point he has won BUT Freeza is still>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Zarbon so it literally makes absolutely no sense Goku lowered his lvl down by that much

The amount of energy in a bullet isn't strong enough to even hurt Goku when he is caught off guard. It's like do you get hurt if people throw a balloon at you or a rock. You wouldn't even notice the balloon but you will notice a rock.

It didn't state anywhere that Goku was going to finish off Freeza.

That's the point of the training scene. It shows that Goku does exactly that. Whis already said that to him.
