He would have died only because Frieza, a fighter who was on par with him (just a bit weaker), went on to beat the shit out of him.

He was pierced through the heart. That's a vital organ. He's good as dead if not for a senzu. Wouldn't matter with Freeza rubbing it in afterwards or not. Piccolo missed his vital organs, but Sorbet didn't.

The blast hurt his heart, it didn't literally make a hole in it.

Just then, a bolt of energy comes from behind Freeza and pierces Goku straight through the heart: it was Sorbet with his ring.
I think that makes it abundantly clear it pierced his heart.

Dude.

It's energy. It can go through his heart without physically making a hole in it. It's different than Goku (a physical being) going through King Piccolo's belly and making a visible hole in it.

We're in an era where blood is scarce and holes such as the one in Goku and Raditz are censored. I'm pretty damn sure the whole point is he pierced Goku's heart and hurt him badly, not just smack his heart.

So Freeza himself just wanted some entertainment til Goku arrives. Seems like that's why he pointlessly sent his mooks to be slaughtered. That's pretty funny and in character I'd say, but kinda makes the whole army thing really pointless amusement.

I don't see the problem with the 'letting down your guard' explanation, it's well-established in canon (Vegeta letting Krillin injure him so he could get a zenkai, Vegeta KO'ing Goku with one punch, etc.)

Vegeta purposely lets his guard down so Krillin could harm him isn't a problem

Vegeta KO'ing Goku when his back is turned isn't that big of a deal becuase Vegeta is still in the same league as Goku.

What i have a problem with is some are implying Goku in his God form can get killed by someone weaker than Zarbon just becuase he has his guard down.Mind you Goku is still in his god form with Golden Freeza right in front of him.

Sorbet's ring may be called by the boastful Freeza a mere beam attack but it's actually very powerful

This. Hell Roshi had to use a spray to knock out Tenshinhan as he couldn't do it himself.

Does Vegeta really say "Lord Freeza"?

Wow, that's pathetic.

Is Goku also indirectly insulting Vegeta by saying Freeza would be more suitable as a rival?

"Piccolo, Gohan, Tien, Krillin and Jaco continue fighting the wave of enemies."

If Toriyama didn't write the script, would a scenario like this have ever happened in the movie? Hell, would this sort of scenario have ever happened in a Dragon Ball Z movie?

Wow, so Krillin is impressed by Jaco. I wonder how strong he is.

-Fukktasu no F chapter 3-
I just read the final chapter and damn, It was perfect!! From the best to the worse: 3 > 2 > 1 literally.
Every Choreography and transition was so awesome. The pacing was great. The art was perfect. Its was full action packed like I love, damn...

Shot out to Toriyama for making the non-saiyans kicking ass too. By this point, if this was a Toei only movie, only saiyans would shine.
Roshi scene left me like  Completed Hype!!

Overall, this 3 chapters were a treat and Toriyama's script + Toybe art is the perfect combination to go on now. Damn, this chapter pumped me up
Instead of being called Fukkatsu no F, this movie sould be called Fukkatsu no Hype.

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Favourite old DB Animators: Masaki Sato and Tadayoshi Yamamuro
Favourite new DB Animators: Yuya Takahashi and Chikashi Kubota

I like the Jaco scenes a lot, and I like how Toyotarô draws Piccolo.
