I wasn't grading their fighting style. But basic I meant that it lacked impact. Second boxing is a form of marital arts. Third why are you bringing Goku into this as if I was comparing the two.
I never said u did, I just wanted to say they had different fighting style and yes I know its a form of martial arts, what I meant was it looked like boxing is his main style while Goku uses variations of styles.

There is no positive side of things.

That fanart was worthless shit also, just like SSGod itself.

I love this guy's posts and agree with him, but I swear he gets special treatment cause of seniority...
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super
Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.
Oh, come on! I have different opinions on new DBZ stuff than Rocketman, but this guy really is long here and he's proven to be great guy, with funny posts.
I do respect him as anyone else. Like getting some special treatment because you are here too long? No way, I can be banned for not respecting the rules as well, as was one of my friends and funny fellows penguintruth.
So let's stay on topic, because this is rudiculous.
I am swarming video games section with angry comments usually
Dyno wrote:These one-word answers does not add anything to the context. Anyway, Rocketman got a public scolding... What else do you want him to get?
The forums would be a lot less interesting and well informed without him, I'm just agreeing that he gets special treatment, doesn't mean I don't like him as a person or whatever else you might wanna throw in there.

Spoiler:
That punch looks basic but effective. The second picture look like a fan made drawing (it's real ik). 7/10 pictures. Though I find it funny. This reminds me of an Icee or 7-11 Slurpee commercial or advertisement.
Vegeta's fighting style is VERY and I mean VEERRY different from Goku....
Vegeta=Boxing+kick boxing type
Goku=Martial artist
The Vegeta vs Freeza fight was like a DBZ version of Manny Pacquiao vs Mayweather, tho one of em cannot land a hit anymore.
I understand this point.
And I like it. vegeta is rude, harsh, and Goku is softer and stylistic. In a fist fight, Vegeta is much more a more rough and rugged style and hard. Goku is more stylist and complex fistfight.
moreover, the big bang, has a lot of style but punching, Vegeta is simply rude, is vegeta style and it is good,
Favorite Character: Vegeta Seconds favorites caracteres:Goku , Piccolo Previously I like: Kid Gohan I do not like: Adult Gohan I hope more: Trunks and Goten I claim for: A girlfriend and a happy life for Yamcha. Women SSJ Hate: Send all women to take care of children, including A18. Need more of: Ten Sin Han

Tell us how you really feel.
"I wanted you to see what real courage is, instead of getting the idea that courage is a man with a gun in his hand. It’s when you know you’re licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what." - Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird (1960)
“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.” - Nelson Mandela
Then agree by sending to the person you agreed to a PM. And I can't see the "special treatment", just because most of his posts are all about bashing these new stuff?

There is always positive sides. Gohan jobbing is the first one. Golden Freeza, SSGSS Goku and SSGSS Vegeta are also positives.
But SSJ God looks great. What are you talking about?
I ask thou, WHY MUST IT BE ME? Your weakness is your strength.
Are you reading this? If you are, I just want to let you know that I'm a GREAT GUY.

Considering the Administrator called him out just a couple pages back, I'm inclined to disagree.
VegettoEX wrote:Insistence on any kind of hivemind mentality is absolutely absurd, and it's even more so to see it coming from you, Rocketman. You've been here more than long enough to know that different people like different things. Let's not pretend you don't like things I like and don't like and vice versa. We've been through this song and dance. Spare us, please.
Rocketman doesn't get the hammer as often as others because his comments are seldom (possibly never) aimed at another member. Plus, I think it just makes most of us laugh.
And you know what this thread is really about? Not that guy.
Speaking of relevant, does anybody wonder about the out-universe explanation for the new Super Saiyan form? It seems like a marketing ploy at first glance, but it's hard to tell if that would have actually influenced Toriyama-sensei.
Yea, I really can't see how he's getting special treatment either. He's just expressing his opinion, he's not insulting anybody nor is he breaking any rules. Negativity and criticism won't make anyone happy, but it's not really forbidden.

To me it just seems like Toriyama wanted to keep Goku's two most iconic looks - base and SSJ - but just giving them a power boost wouldn't explain why he scrapped the other 2.

Well, considering Toriyama already admitted he is a "troll" by nature, he probably remembered "Oh, I said blue is not a strong color to represent power, so guess what am I going to do now? ". Maybe there isn't even an influence going on, but we'll have to wait for more information from that Volume.
I wouldn't say SSGSS being blue is a troll move. He already contradicted himself with the original Super Saiyan God, as in he picked a colour he thought looked strong, yet he also created a simple design in order to escape from the flashy-and-flashier designs. SSGSS just follows this train of thought and, in the same contradicting fashion, he picks a colour he feels looks weak to represent a stronger form.
