Not sure where you're getting that from Sintzu it's made over $13 million in 8 days and Golden Week hasn't started yet and that will give the movie a big boost. It'll pass $20 million by the end of next weekend.

I just thought with a name as big as Dbz it would have made more by now.

You are forgetting that RF has a bigger oversea's market now which more than makes up for it opening domestically with tough competition( Case closed, Fast 7). I believe BoG was open for 7-8 weeks.

From what I've read I think it will start on April 29th and last till May 6th.

Well as a rough estimate, it could be around ¥1.8 billion by tomorrow, ¥2.3 billion before next weekend, ¥2.7 billion after the weekend and ¥3 billion by the end of Golden Week. That'd be about $25 million.

I'm hoping that I could be low balling that too.

I think FNF, equaled the box office of BoG in japan and minimum double the international box office.

This is arround 27-28 millions in Japan and 35-40 millions in the internacional box office.

So if that estimate were to hold that'd be a 50% drop which isn't too bad to be honest. Last week actuals went up 9% from the estimates but don't assume that that will happen again, estimates can always go down and it's best to assume the worst to avoid disappointment.

The actual figures will come possibly within 12 hours if it were like last week.

They never said, all we know is that about $636,000 (¥50 million) was put towards the movie. It was probably around the same or a little less than this one.

There's also the advertising budget as well to consider which would be several million as well.

A simple rule of thumb is that a movie needs to make twice what it cost to break even because the studio only get about half the gross so it might be around the break even point right now or getting close.

¥1.772 billion. The original post includes the gross as of each weekend. I know it doesn't look like Resurrection F is that much in front of it if it's only done around ¥1.85 billion but there will be a huge gap in it's favour after next weekend.

It's possible that the movie will outgross Battle of Gods within the next week and a half.

It's actually more like $531,000 at the time ($540,000 after inflation), since the yen wasn't worth as much back in March 2013 as it is now.

That'd be down a bit from estimates. It'd be about a ¥447 million second weekend and ¥1.8 billion total.

If that's #2 then how much was Conan overestimated, let's see the actual yen gross first.

That'd mean it had a second weekend gross of ¥473 million ($3.97 million which is still down from estimates but only by a little.
