Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection 'F'"

And we all thought we didn't have foreshadowing to the next movie. Sorbet is a member of the Sinestro Corp. Hence he was gifted with the yellow power ring of fear. Freeza's immense fear of losing came true, which powered Sorbet's ring to kill Goku. Next movie we will finally have the DC Universe and DBZ crossover. We'll explore how Sorbet got his Sinestro Corp ring.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

I'd be lying if I disagreed with this. Goku and everyone else in the DBZ-verse now have a major weakness. That does make me slightly irritated.Marlowe89 wrote:

It's really nothing worth taking a picture over, but here:DBZGTKOSDH wrote:Do we have a picture of this?TheDevilsCorpse wrote:I can't read the text itself, but that's part of the family tree section. My Volume "F" arrived today, very impressed with the overall quality. There are lots of cool character arts and some nice scenes taken from the movie.
Well worth picking one up if you haven't done so already.
Oh, and the pamphlet is a nice little collectors' piece too, if you can find it for the right price.

"And yes, Raditz is there. That's the point of a family tree."
Great, because I don't see Tarble connected with King Vegeta. And I thought that is the point of a family tree.

Thanks. So, it seems like this is a family tree based on Toriyama's works, plus Toei-only characters in an extra section. Seems like whoever made this book missed the Tarble reference in BoG though...TheDevilsCorpse wrote:It's really nothing worth taking a picture over, but here:DBZGTKOSDH wrote:Do we have a picture of this?TheDevilsCorpse wrote:I can't read the text itself, but that's part of the family tree section. It's always made sense to me. It's like when FPSSJ Goku was hit by a rock that Krillin casually tossed and it hurt him. Sure, it's a gag moment (and maybe filler..?) but the logic sort of works in the martial arts context. It's like when you see monks taking spears to the throat and stuff. They do techniques that they associate with harnessing "ki" beforehand. Without those techniques, they'd just as easily get stabbed in the throat as you or I.fadeddreams5 wrote:I'd be lying if I disagreed with this. Plus, it's not the first time technology was able to outdo our heroes. Look at Android 16! He's all robot and he has weaponry that can seriously damage warriors who ARE prepared to take it head on!
It's not as inconsistent as we, the fans, have made it out to be through our own discussions over the past 20 years since the manga ended.

It appears to only be a family tree of Toriyama's works that properly fit in continuity, of which the JSAT is questionable since he didn't really write it. Vegeta has a brother as of BOG, but exactly who that brother is isn't made clear.

Going by this film's logic Piccolo should've kicked Freeza's head off right there and killed him:

A kick and a laser are a tad different. Going by your interpretation of the film's logic, Piccolo's foot is a separate piece of technology that shoots out tiny high-speed projectiles. The Monkey King wrote:Going by this film's logic Piccolo should've kicked Freeza's head off right there and killed him:Spoiler:

Freeza was in the middle of the fight with Goku. In FnF, Goku was just standing there talking. The Monkey King wrote:Going by this film's logic Piccolo should've kicked Freeza's head off right there and killed him

Remember how scared Freeza was of Super Saiyans?
Well, turns out he was just a lazy pussy. He just needed 4 months of training to surpass all forms of SSJ up to 3.

Typical "I'm above that type of dirty work" sort of thought that goes with evil aristrocrats. Besides, why would Freeza train if he was so naturally strong that he needed to use transformations just to be LESS powerful while going through daily life? Instead, he can just nip the potential problem in the bud and destroy Planet Vegeta. Problem solved.Flame Dragon wrote:Remember how scared Freeza was of Super Saiyans?

Very true. Also, few people consider the posibility that he just didn't know what all he was capable of, but had a couple of years in Hell to really think about it.Kendamu wrote:Typical "I'm above that type of dirty work" sort of thought that goes with evil aristrocrats. Am I missing something here or is Freeza being able to regenerate his original body in that chamber a plot-hole?
If there’s a healing chamber able to make full organic regeneration of a body, why didn’t King Cold use it the last time and instead we had Mecha Freeza?

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
I personally see it having a reason, but not a satisfying one. In the end the Super Saiyan hype and legend is garbage. It's not even a big deal considering it only works due to Freeza's laziness and attitude. Instead of being some mighty conclusion, it's something that Freeza has no real reason to be scared of. The entire mythos personally is cheapened just like how it's possibly apparent that Beerus told Freeza to destroy planet Vegeta. I heard from herms I think, that the jury is still out on that one as the wording is vague.Flame Dragon wrote:Remember how scared Freeza was of Super Saiyans?

That really doesn't matter Goku was in his God form at the time how exactly does he have his guard down and why does he have it so low someone weaker than Zarbon can hurt him?DBZGTKOSDH wrote:Freeza was in the middle of the fight with Goku. The movie is just adding in things that make no sense, just awful writing
The only way it can work is if Sorbet's ring is really strong
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
Why couldn't Sorbet hit Goku with his ring to distract Goku, and then Freeza uses a death beam through Goku's heart. That'd have made far more sense.

Sorbet specifically says in the movie that this kind of full rejuvenation pod was only recently invented/perfected. Or you could of course continue to keep poking for "plot holes." Enjoy your time in the world of Dragonball.Kakarotto92 wrote:Am I missing something here or is Freeza being able to regenerate his original body in that chamber a plot-hole?
