How much do you think it'll be able to bring in during the Golden week ?
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

I think it will be able to bring in ¥1 billion during Golden Week if word of mouth is positive enough.

Yeah I'd say about a ¥1 billion too but all being well it could make quite a bit more than that.

Either way I expect that by the time Golden Week is over this will have outgrossed Battle of Gods entirely. Whether it makes ¥4 billion or not all depends on this Golden Week.

Monday Estimated Gross - ¥52 million ($439,000)

Total - ¥1.896 billion ($15.93 million)

Admissions - 1.4 million

This would imply that it had made closer to ¥1.844 million by the second weekend instead of ¥1.830 billion which was reported. I'm not sure what's going on there but I'll probably find out eventually.

So I take it Fukkatsu No F has been doing well? Good chance it gets to 2 Billion Yen tomorrow?

Not tommorow (today now) no, it'll do it by Wednesday though which means it'll have hit ¥2 billion in 12 days. It took Battle of Gods 15 days.

Just saw on Wikipedia, that Japan is the only territory, in which Fast 7 didn't debut at number 1 and that's because of Resurrection [F].
Truly amazing, DB is much bigger than I thought.

I wonder if we're looking at $100m world-wide gross for this one. With bigger Japanese gross and better (but still not even close to what it should be) international roll-out it could definitely have a chance IMO

Tuesday Estimated Gross - ¥40 million ($335,000)

Total - ¥1.935 billion ($16.26 million)

Admissions - 1.43 million

So tommorow will be a interesting day. Not only is it the first day of Golden Week but also Ladies day.

I think the announcement of Dragon Ball Super is definitely gonna have affect on the box office for the movie.

I feel like it might have had a bit more of an impact if they had announced directly that DBS is a sequel to Resurrection F. Give everyone that gut reaction to go see it to catch up on the new content for the new anime...even though it doesn't start for 2-ish more months. =p

Looking at the ticket sales for Wednesday so far and as of 1.45pm they've sold about as many tickets as they sold on Saturday as of 3pm.

I bet it'll make over ¥200 million today.

Announcing the new series a day before the Golden Week will give this movie a big boost in sales.

In the end DBZ was ranked #3 last weekend and made ¥466 million for a ¥1.833 billion total.

I've updated the original post and put RoF's figures (in Red) alongside BoG's figures for a simple comparison.

RoF does look to have surpassed ¥2 billion today so it reached it 3 days faster than BoG. There might be some news on it surpassing that amount like last time or there might not be.

I'm surprised that Kanzenshuu haven't actually posted the gross themselves, they did with BoG.

This is particularly impressive, in light of the current movie managing this without being front-loaded with an extended school holiday.

Wednesday Estimated Gross - ¥196 million ($1.65 million)

Total - ¥2.12 billion ($17.81 million)

Admissions - 1.58 million

Very nearly hit ¥200 million. It won't do as well tommorow or probably Friday but Friday is another discount day for everyone because it's the first day of the month.

Well, they've officially hit half of their goal, after 12 days and only in Japan. I think that other half is going to speed by with the combination of golden week and the upcoming international releases.

The 40 million is the goal for Japan only.
