They seriously need to call this show Super Dragon Ball (Z or no Z at the end) instead of Dragon Ball Super, if only because the bad grammar makes me want to punch something.

They did say the title could change for the English version. I assume it makes perfect sense grammatically in Japanese.

I'm sure it won't be as bad, but if the animation is comparable to XV's cutscenes and Heroes trailers...

Xenoverse was the first time I was disappointed by the animation. I think it's an exception.
Not even the worst shots of the crossover got to me, sometimes I just noticed them, but it didn't really get to me.
But with Xenoverse, it looked so cheap that I really think it was the one exception!

The first credited key animator for XenoVerse was Hoshino Mamoru. Hoshino is the guy Toei Animation now has to quickly scribble out cuts for their shows every week because they're so behind schedule.

You should take the Super as separated, as in edition.
Back then, it was like "Dragon Ball: Z Edition", now it's "Dragon Ball: Super Edition".

Just like the original name for Super Saiyan God is not supposed to be grammar for "the God who is a Super Saiyan", but as "Super Saiyan, level: 1", followed by "Super Saiyan, level: 2", "Super Saiyan, level: 3" and "Super Saiyan, level: GOD".

That being said, I do agree that Super Dragon Ball would sound great as it would be a direct reference to "Super Saiyan" or "Super Dragon Soul", you see. Or Super Street Fighter I guess?

If my math is correct (that would be fucking amazing), we should be getting Dragon Ball Super just after the ending of Dragon Ball Kai. Of course, I counted every Sundays, probably there will be one Sunday that it won't have a Dragon Ball Kai episode.

Like I already said, Uchiyama Masayuki is deceased. Ebisawa Yukio no longer appears to do much in the way of animation. If anyone from Studio Live helps out on this series it will be Kan'no Toshiyuki, who has worked closely with Yamamuro Tadayoshi on other recent Dragon Ball works.

I want the series to be at least 100 episodes. There is still so much about Dragon Ball that hasn't been explored yet and this is the fucking perfect opportunity to do that.

Haha, one of my friends told me about this, and I immediately thought it was a big joke. Wow. I never thought I'd see the day we got a new Dragonball anime. I thought that the next time I'd see an actual new series would be when I was collecting dust in a rocking chair. But I probably will be by the time an English dub makes its rounds But anyways, YAY!

This was not what I was expecting to wake up to...

I am "Super" stoked about this! Really. This is the kind of stuff I imagined and dreamed of when I was a kid, back in the early days of the internet, looking at whatever random "AF" images I could find.

It's so awesome, and satisfying to both myself as a fan, and that nostalgic aspect. After all of these years of bad hoaxes, it's so surreal to see this finally happening.

A little too much for my heart to take. Cant believe it. Funimation must be building a temple in toriyamas name as we speak too.

I dont ask much from this, its a TV SERIES not a movie, so it only makes sense to expand and develop our favorite characters A LITTLE bit at least. I want to see the kids get older and more badass, goten and trunks. I want to see gohan do some things, but especially piccolo, my second favorite character. Time to revisit the other cast members, it only makes sense at this point. I didnt mention the rest because well, as far as seeing the rest of the cast become more powerful, I dont even strongly doubt it, I see it as completely impossible.
But then, this whole thing is a thing, so honestly, who even knows?
