Phooey. Oh well, I'll see what happens. It's nice to have the option of importing since the Vita is region-free, but if it ends up being a hassle I wouldn't mind keeping the game digitally on my Vita anyway.

1) Do we start the game with all characters available, or do you unlock them through the story mode?

Thanks for the answers, glad to finally have a list of levels to keep track of as well. Do you unlock those with points as well? I'm glad the game is going to give me something to actually work for too, definitely going to be buying characters I know/like first of course though.

Interestingly enough though, it lists that the pre-order will also come with 'PlayStation themes' for PS4, PS3, and Vita. I haven't seen this listed anywhere else yet, so has it actually been stated anywhere else? I've never used a theme on a PlayStation product (my PSP just had a background set from a picture I put on it's memory card), so where exactly do you go on the menu to set up a theme anyway?

Oh god no. The game isn't even out yet and already talking about DLC.

In other news Batman Arkham Knight's Season Pass is $40 so I'll just wait for the GotY edition.

Well, the game's already out in Japan since 2013, and there were some unfinished character files on the Japanese disc, and we're getting J-Stars Plus, those unfinished character files could have been finished for this Plus version.

I knew someone would bring that up but for the west the game is entirely new so if anything Bandai should include it on the disc without it being locked out, which reminds me, all that Season Pass content from DBX was probably at some point intended to be originally included without an extra fee however as Bandai saw how much fans were willing to pay they scrapped that.

Hope that Bandai releases "Dragon Ball: Xenoverse- GotY Edition" but not too likely.

Anyway, got the Japanese PS3 version for free but didn't play it a whole lot because the saves are locked and it's all in Japanese. :-/

Does anyone know if there's a good European retailer who will ship both the game for Vita AND the bonus artbook overseas? GAME has a pretty good price for the game itself, but I don't think they'll ship the book to the USA. I really, REALLY want the book, but don't want to have to buy it separately if I don't have to.

Preordered my copy for the PS3! I collect video game artbooks, so I couldn't pass this one up.
