Well, there wasn't really a central villain in the Red Ribbon Army arc. Just an assortment of antagonists.

They seem to rank each villain with a star, ending with 7 stars on the new villain. I think they included Tenshinhan to make the 7 stars, otherwise, it would have been 6 stars. If they had included Beerus, they should have included Golden Freeza as well, which makes 9 stars with Tenshinhan, and 8 without him.

I really doubt they will make this before FnF, since they say that the new villain will be stronger than Boo & Freeza. There is no point in mentioning Freeza if they aren't talking about Golden Freeza.

Arguably, they could have cut off Tenshinhan (then having no reason to include Beerus since he isn't an outright villain) and tossed on Golden Freeza and still make the image work. Would have been easier with anime art, but Toriyama did draw Golden Freeza, so it could have been done.

That's kind of my point. We've had a couple of hints for this possibly being set after Resurrection F, and unless they just don't want to confirm it until later, it just seems a little odd that they wouldn't want to run with all this while the movie is still in theaters and have that little extra bit of symbiosis of marketing.

Is it at all telling that they only have one space showing for a main villain?. Could it be "Super" will simply be one single Arc?. If so, I'm completely ok with this being the case. It's an unexpected bonus to be getting anything new at all with regards to a new Series.

Depends on how well the show does I guess, also the Japanese voice actor for Goku (yes I do know who she is, but I forget how to spell her name lol) says she wants the show to go on for as long as possible so yeah guess it is dependant on how well received it is and how ratings are and how much merch it sells, how well it sells on home media and all that good stuff.

I'm starting to lean to wanting them to start post-manga ending after it was pointed out that if they do that, the sense of danger returns as we wouldn't know who survives as we would if it's before the 28th tournament.

But then I want more Beerus and Whis training Gokû and Vegeta, and immediately post F, so...I'm torn. Either would be good.

There's one space simply because the question is "Who will be next?". Notice how it also says, in English, "Goku will be FIGHTING forever."

Would an arc in Trunks' timeline spark your guys' interest?

It's definitely a case of whether or not the merchandise sells, with regards to the series continuing. In Japan, Anime is made in order to sell merchandise, if the merch doesn't sell, then the anime will be cancelled, this is what unfortunately happened to Toriko.
I would assume Toriyama Sensei has, at present, provided Toei with enough of a plot to cover a certain amount of episodes, and will provide more if it thrives - but as far as I'm aware, even if the ratings are good, and consistent, a lack of merchandise sales would potentially mean a cancellation.

If anyone could give an idea of how it works, then please enlighten me, I hope I'm wrong, as for me, if a show is doing well ratings wise, why cancel it?. Could it be, that the merch money is used to fund the episodes production?.

I think I'd rather leave Trunks' timeline alone and just imagine some version of the Time Patrol stuff (DBO is dead, Xenoverse has minor problems). If future Trunks is to be involved, I'd probably rather him come back to our timeline at this point.

Yeah, I love Whis time travel because it makes him unique.
I expect some special technique for this villain. And now that you said he or she, I want it to be a she. We need a major woman villain.

Nah, Freeza was always despicable prick to his core. The first thing he did when he arrived on Earth in RF was nuke a city.

Which would have a new bad guy already knew since the official announcement, this page does nothing new.
