The Bulma and Freeza issue has a very simple explanation...
Secret love affair.
Bulma and Freeza had a passionate but short-lived romance on Namek. When Freeza came to Earth the first time, she was afraid he might mention it so she showed up and told everyone she'd come because she'd never seen him before.
There. Plot hole filled up and paved over.

-About Freeza and Bulma-
The most close they were was:
- When Freeza and his army were going to the next village and her, Krillin and Gohan hid in the cave.
- After she recovered her body from Ginyu. She was close to the battlefield but never really saw Freeza. (Filler)
In both situations, they never directly met.
Third wish?! Yeah right and Sorbet and Tagoma would be sitting there, waiting for them having 2 wishes granted...
You don't know what plothole is, and seems like you didn't even realize that Pilaf trio is just comedy relief.

Shuu was the one to ask the wish. Seems like money is more important for them, for now.Noah wrote: Oh yeah? And why Pilaf didn't wish to back to his normal age to fix the first wish and after to rule the world as the third wish? Don't make any sense... I didn't though about that, but wow... That's a plothole.

Freeza is a galactic overlord who's been on hundreds of different worlds in his life. Maybe he just misremembers meeting her since SHE does know him (from the Z Fighters' account and from Jaco's drawing). Like, he's saying to himself "Huhh I don't quite remember meeting her but she seems to know me so I guess I must have met her at some point".
You know kinda like the old cliche of someone wanting to avenge a murdered relative yet the villain doesn't even remember killing that person since he kills way too many people (Bison doesn't remember killing Chun Li's father in the Street Fighter movie, Ronan doesn't remember killing Drax's wife in Guardians of the Galaxy, etc.). Except in this case it's the reserve as Freeza convinces himself that he remembers meeting someone even though he never did.

RoF implies that Bulma and Freeza crossed paths at some point and it was never shown in the manga or anime, there's no need for any complicated explanation. Maybe we'll see a flash back of their encounter in an extended version of the movie.

Don't get your hopes up for something like that. And besides, it was just a 10 second gag, that had no bearing on the plot, at all. So it doesn't matter in the slightest.UpFromTheSkies wrote:RoF implies that Bulma and Freeza crossed paths at some point and it was never shown in the manga or anime, there's no need for any complicated explanation. It doesn't matter, but I bet Toriyama could write a pretty funny flashback scene if he wanted to.Lord Beerus wrote:Don't get your hopes up for something like that. Yeah, I'm pretty sure he could. Freeza could have seen Bulma when he was flying to Saichoro's place, that's the only occasion I can find where we didn't survey Freeza 100% of the time.

This type of retro active close examination is not very fruitful or rational. However I bet this 'issue' can easily be chalked up to the theory that not everything that takes place is presented for the audience's eyes, if Bulma witnessed or glimpsed Frieza as a spectator at any given point in the entire arc then it could be that this simply wasn't conveyed to the reader or audience.

Bluma didn't see Freeza though. She makes this clear during the Mecha Freeza material when she goes to the battle because she hadn't seen him on Namek. Likewise, though no mention seems to be made in Toriyama's script, Bluma still hasn't seen Freeza and that's the whole reason Jaco draws the picture in the film version. So the two never actually met, Freeza would have had to of seen her with a spy camera or while he was flying or something where she wasn't paying attention.

-About Toriyama being the creator and can do whatever he likes, including ignoring what its already estabilished-
I hate this idea. Sure he's the creator, sure its his work, but I don't like this thought one bit.
I'm glad he's motivated again after all these years, but we can get new stuff without ignoring what its already established. (talking about Ignoring EOZ, Super taking place before it, etc...)
Especially with a world so big as Dragon Ball.

These all lead to that speech "Though in the manga it was said this, originally what happened was that" of Toriyama back in one of the Buu's interview.
You know, he can indeed do whatever he wants, but... Is this what you want see in Dragon Ball? What if he shows up saying this line again and again?

I don't mind him tinkering with things if it's in the same vein as when he'd mess with stuff during the original serialization or most of the recent Q&A sessions. Where some material might be tweaked a bit, but there aren't any serious problems and it could arguably add depth to the universe.
My slight problems (other than the Kaioshin confusion in the Full Color Q&As) basically all stems from stuff in Resurrection F that he altered, which didn't actually need to be altered to make what he wrote actually fit into the preestablished content.

I have got it guys, it was when Bulma was Ginyu and was cheering Freeza on. I am sure Freeza heard him err her and probably saw Bulma and thought he had a cheerleader

Honestly though, why would they want to get back to their original ages? They now have restored youth and far more time on this earth than they would have were they on the far end of 40 again.FortuneSSJ wrote:Shuu was the one to ask the wish. He's not talking about the trio in this movie.
Shenlong granted one wish from BoG, plus these two in this movie makes the three he can normally grant.
But prior to BoG, the Pilaf gang used one wish off-screen to make them young, they should still have two remaining and they (apparently) didn't wish anything. So that's why he's saying it's a plot hole. I don't think it is, because knowing how dumb the trio is, they could have just told Shenlong to buzz off. And Dende can modify the number of wishes at will, as well.

Yeah, could just be that he saw her but she didn't see him. He'd also see no reason to stop and investigate as she'd barely register on his scouter and he was in a hurry to get to the Grand Elder's place.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Bluma didn't see Freeza though. But... why are we even still discussing something so minor?

Something that I just noticed, the announcement of Dragon Ball Super explains why DBZ: Resurrection "F" feels a lot like "filler", unlike DBZ: Battle of Gods.
BoG felt a lot like another story arc of the manga. Goku made new friends (Beerus & Whis), got a new power-up (Super Saiyan God), and we learned new things about the world (the existence of the Hakaishin & the 12 Universes).
But FnF, it was just "Freeza comes back, they fight, Freeza dies". Yeah, Goku & Vegeta achieved new forms & started training with Whis, but these things happened before the movie. Assuming that DBS takes place after FnF (and most likely does, because the new villain will be someone stronger than Boo & Freeza), the audience won't need to have seen FnF to understand what happened before (which is recently released, and it won't have a home release until DBS has long started), while BoG is an older story & widely available for anyone, and it's an important part of the story.

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.
