Where to buy a working Budokai 3 greatest hits re-release?

Discussion of all things related to Dragon Ball video games (console and portable games, arcade versions, etc.) from the entire franchise's history.

Where to buy a working Budokai 3 greatest hits re-release?

Post by SPRSYJN » Tue May 05, 2015 3:43 pm

Any idea where to find a working Japanese audio greatest hits-reissue of Budokai 3 for PS2? I have to be very careful about buying it because a large number of the greatest hits rereleases were defective and english-only despite advertising otherwise. Would be most grateful for any help!

Is your PS2 region free by any chance? Hacking a PS2 is very easy nowadays.

If so then you could import from Europe Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 - Collector's Edt. or Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 - Platinum Edt. as both of these feature the Japanese audio track and FUNimation English dub, as well as subtitles, as expected.

FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

An easy way to hack a PS2 is through McBoot which requires a memory card as well as some other tools: http://bootleg.sksapps.com/tutorials/fmcb/noobie.php

If you're in need of more assistance then you have links at the bottom.

By the way, as far as I can remember the CE doesn't have anything exclusive to the PE, it's just different packaging really.
