The appeal of the podcast?

I like the podcasts mostly for the news section; it's hard for me to keep up with the current stuff in the fandom today, since I don't check daily for updates but still want to be up to speed.
Most of the discussions are relevant to my interests too; current video releases, video games, what those wacky people at Funimation are up to...all good stuff.
And no offense to Mike, but his voice is so high pitched at times I need to turn down the volume. So irritating! Arg!
And this may be a minor detail, but the way Julian ends each episode in his authentic Japanese announcer voice just kicks ass.
