Yeah, that's Funimation's interpretation of Goku was far too Superman-esque for my liking. I mean, the reason why Goku is an iconic characters is because he defies the stereotypes and mythology characteristics that comes with being the protagonist of a shonen character.Vegitofaxx wrote:I think that's more "early Funimation Goku"Noah wrote:TOEI Goku would say something like: "Give up your evilness, Freeza, accept your defeat, I hope never see you again" but Goku in RoF is how is he is potrayed in the manga, but yeah... No, because Freeza doesn't know how to sense ki to begin with. But Goku & Vegeta don't have godly ki, since it was stated in the movie that they can't sense Beerus' & Whis' ki.SaiyanZ wrote:Can Freeza sense Goku's and Vegeta's ki now that they have godly ki?

Yes. Goku says that they had to bribe Whis with tasty food (so that he will take him to his place in order to train them), because Goku couldn't sense their ki and teleport there with Shunkan Ido.Flame Dragon wrote:How? So how was he able to use Shunkan Ido in the fight with Beerus then if Goku couldn't sense him? He doesn't need to sense ki to use it if it's within his line of sight, I think. Just teleporting a few meters away to dodge or counterattack isn't the same as a long-distance Shunkan Ido.SaiyanZ wrote:So how was he able to use Shunkan Ido in the fight with Beerus then if Goku couldn't sense him? Basically works similar to the teleportation powers of Nightcrawler from X-Men. Even if you put the limitation "must sense someone's ki" on IT, Goku could just sense himself...

So I managed to Listen track 29 of the score (as the soundtrack is already available in youtube, except pieces 21 and 22).... Wow, Sumitomo knows how to get my expectations high, if he only did more of these tracks I'd be right at home, wow, track 29 is magnificent. A Choral powerful piece that shoots out hope. Resembles a classical triumphant piece of symphony PLEASE SUMITOMO, STAY LIKE THIS. Don't crap all over it again if you get to Super (which I hope not, I don't know what to expect really). The samples don't make justice to the really good tracks. I much prefer this score to BoG as a whole. Even the synth stuff is better and is actually mixed with orchestra this time.
BTW, Freeza's chant Motif in the score is SO GODDAMN INTENSE.

They do have Godly ki now. Back when they bribed Whis, they didn't, or at least didn't have a good enough understanding of it to seek out Beerus' lair.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:Yes. Herms' translation of Toriyama's script makes it seems as though the god ki traits fade once the red haired form is abandoned for absorbing its power. The phrasing used implies Goku still can't sense Beerus and Whis' ki, as they are talking about Whis bringing them this time in exchange for pizza.batistabus wrote:They do have Godly ki now. Regarding that translation, did Beerus just threaten Whis? He said "you all"...

I don't know if he's intended to be included, but I wouldn't be surprised if he were. Regardless of the fact that Whis is his master and stronger than him, Beerus seems to threaten Whis on a regular basis. That was even one of the scenes added into the special edition of Battle of Gods, where Whis tells him to take a bath or rumors will start that he smells, and he wonders whether he should destroy Whis. Appears to just be part of their relationship.

Goku and Vegeta can't sense Beerus and Whis issue...
I'm really confused now. I have read the detailed summary and it's really suggested that Goku can not sense Whis/Beerus so he can not teleport to Beerus' planet to train. Something is not really clear, though... Goku doubt himself as well to teleport back to Earth as it was too far when he was asked by Bulma to use IT. So maybe he couldn't really sense anyone from Earth, save for Freeza who was really powerful at that point. Beerus has been sleeping and Whis tends to suppress himself, maybe Goku can still sense God Ki, but if Beerus Homeworld was too far he couldn't detect one signal just because of the distance. But it can make sense that he lost his God Ki sensing abilities when ran out of Saiyan God form. But I'm really surprised that if that is the case... especially when Toriyama stated that Goku doesn't need to transform into a God once again as he has absorbed that power and made it his own, but Ki sensing ability is very useful in combats. I haven't really thought that Toriyama will take that away from Goku. But it can make sense anyway.
It still stand to reason to mention that King Kai doesn't really know Whis' abilities in BoG.(In fact, he doesn't really seem to know Whis either.) King Kai can sense Beerus, the Kaioshins also can but they don't really mention Whis yet he is even stronger than Beerus. Maybe Whis always hides his energy even if he uses it in combats(he is artial arts master after all, and he may know how to use a significant proportion of his energy without giving any sign of his Ki).
