Anyone that can watch any of the dubs?

Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.

Personally i think most of the dubs have redeeming qualities to them.

The original FUNi/Saban dubs are nostalgic and have good replacement scores

The later Ocean/Westwood dub is a fascinating train wreck and sort of like a saturday morning cartoon alternative to FUNi's edgier dub

The Big Green and Speedy dubs are full-blown comedy fests

The Kai dub is a good way to watch how the series was intended to be like

I can watch it, but I don't think i'll be watching the dub all the way through again except for Kai. I prefer to watch Kai for the dub as I've already heard the Japanese version giving much better performances years ago.

Kakarot88, I know we've been down this road, but I think you're completely wrong about Kai, the dub is amazing, the acting is FAR superior, and while the edits are sloppy in places, the pacing is by and large better than Z's.
The biggest truths aren't original. The truth is ketchup. It's Jim Belushi. Its job isn't to blow our minds. It's to be within reach.

Sorta. DB aired in Poland with Polish lector reading translation over French dubbing and later in GT over original Japanese dub, so already from start we heard different dubs. Apart from that I also watched some German episodes back then on RTL and English eps on Cartoon Network. Most Euro fans had access to main TV channels from other countries back then.

And then came the internet 2.0 YouTube era and I probably watched clips and bits of even more dubs.

I prefer the original, but don't mind watching in any dub.
