What's so good about having sooo many avatars rolling up casually.
I think having more than 5 gets ridiculous, it's cool to have more avatars but you guys are overdoing it lol

Count me out, must admit it was cool when it was only me posting avatars. But hey, there are so many members, and many are the "newbie" ones who aren't using an avatar, so... Most are for them.

I meant that many users here have put 10s of avatars/gifs on signavatar and they roll up randomly. I also do this but I prefer to not have more than 5 (have 2 at the moment) because it gets silly, IMO.

As for many of you posting hundreds of avatars, that's cool. We have countless options for new avatars.

I agree with this, 5's a good limit if you don't want to stick to only 1 avatar, but it still doesn't make it seem like you're just using everything you find. Not only that, but some of recent(ish) avatars just look really rushed and dare I say ugly. Like I understand not having a border in it (bugs the hell out of me tho, that or the ones that have like 5 pixels of it), but streching and squishing the picture to fit in it? It just looks unpleasant to my eyes, specially when the picture itself is really good.

But alas, this is an Avatar thread, so I might as well go ahead and contribute:

And I really don't see much difference between those and these, for example. Maybe on the pixels issue, but you took those images from deviantart, perhaps. (?) These aren't from there.
