The last day of the semester for me is the 8th... though to be fair, finals here do go into the week after that. I just don't have any tests then. :33

Holy cow... wow. So much feedback for this idea! I personally would love to have a part (or several, if I can manage them) in bringing this project together. It sounds absolutely awesome!

One of the things I really want to do in this is voice-acting (I know, who the heck doesn't? @_@). I've got a pretty decent (and cheap! xD) mic on me that I can use, and while I don't do it as often as I've liked, I've acted in a couple of plays before and know a few basic acting techniques (though I'm honestly not sure how well I can do with any long screaming... ). But I'll save the VA qualifications for later, sooo...

First off! I know (after reading straight through eight pages of comments on this thread) that most everybody's in a hype about this project, but unless it gets some serious organization soon, it's gonna fall apart. I propose, then:

A list. We need to get names and information for everyone on the forum who's voiced interest in this fan-dub. Someone needs to compile this, with information about who wants to participate, their contact information (email, instant messaging if they have it, phone number if they're comfortable with it, that kind of thing), what jobs they're thinking of helping out with, if they're going to audition for roles (when it gets that far), etc. etc. Since I figured we'd need this, I'll probably volunteer to go profile-hunting to gather what information we need, though this relies a lot on everybody else's cooperation. Kaboom, you seem to be doing a good job with trying to figure out who's willing to help with the big jobs, but a quick list of everyone else who wants a part wouldn't hurt. That way we can update everyone on the status of the project, when certain things (like voice-acting auditions, etc.) are being done, and give everyone else a way to figure out who they might need to get in contact with for help with their parts. (And the updates are really important... I mean, not everybody visits the forum every day, and they're bound to miss something if they don't know about it beforehand!) You know?

Anyway, like I said, I'm willing to help put together said list. I'm also willing to assist in writing the script when I can (I can write pretty well when the occassion calls for it), and I would LOVE to have a part in helping directing, at least as far as directing voice talent goes. I can review any voice clips people have recorded and provide feedback for what sounds great, what needs to be worked on, etc. (though if you want me to help, you might want to let me know before you eventually start the auditions so I can get a jump-start directing and critiquing the VAs once they're chosen... it'd be much better to do it that way, I think). I don't know how well this particular part of directing is going to go, considering we're doing this over the internet instead of working in booths alongside the voice-actors giving them feedback as they go along, but I'll certainly try my best to make it work. A final thing I could probably help with is with the video editing, though I know I probably can't do very much in that area--I'm not that experienced in putting videos together, and I've only got Windows Movie Maker, so I don't know if that would turn out any good or if I could make it that good in a timely manner. So you'll be definitely needing someone else to take the primary responsibility for the video-editing, I'm afraid.

If all else fails and we don't get word from anybody who has the DragonBox footage, we could always make a petition to get their attention, or have someone communicate with them to see if they can get it. Anybody have a high Charisma score around here who could do that? (OMG, cheesy reference! Oh the noes!)

Wow, that sure was a lot of type... I hope you're not too mad about it! ;__;
Art, etc. links taken down for now. Will be updated at some point. I dunno.

...
Anyway, I guess we can either start a thread on that info or just flood Kaboom with PMs. Keep in mind most of the required information is in our profiles 8). I'm just waiting on movie3 to be announced so I can really get to work. I'm actually considering buying that movie just for the project. I scare myself sometimes... o_o

-edit- I got to watch Saiyan's video and it was pretty good. I really don't have any experience with actually adding the sound to the video, but I don't see any reason Saiyan should go for the job.

I'm planning on buying whichever movie gets picked, too. Unless by some random chance Movie 12 rockets ahead in the polls and gets picked... then I'm set!

Anyhoo, Big Moustache...

I've been just trying to use this thread as the general information gathering one, as well as for announcing updates. Once a movie is picked on the other thread, I'm going to request that that one be closed. There's going to be a thread specifically for posting auditions, too, and that one'll be closed once we're all done with that stage. Apparently, I've gotten everyone and their uncles who wanted to VA to quiet down, for now, which is good. So right now, this thread is mostly dedicated to filling in the last of those key positions.

A list, you say? Sure, if you want to make one, then go ahead. The information you pointed out was good. Get peoples' e-mail, especially, so we can update them that way.

Writing help? Sure.

In terms of helping with auditions... cool. Provided I'm Director, now, I was going to need someone to get a second opinion on picking VAs, to keep it fair and unbiased. Someone to open up an I'm with, share and listen to people's .wav files, and discuss parts, etc... Nobody should just decide these things on their own.

It's amazing how, with how far the internet has advanced, we can actually review and discuss things like this as if we actually were in a booth three feet from eachother. So... I don't see there being much of a problem in that regard.

Video editing... yeah. I know what you mean. Unfortunately, if all it took were a general artistic knowledge of AMVing and Windows Movie Maker, then I could do this part. But, we're going to need someone who has and knows their way around Premiere, or something, and knows enough of the technical aspect of it to end up with something that at least looks good.

Well, my hope at the moment is that someone who has a DragonBox and knows enough technical stuff to rip the selected movie well (Please, Mike! We'll change your name in the credits, if you'd like!) will do that for us. All else fails, we'll just get someone with that technical knowledge and a regular copy of the movie.

So would you like to be "Producer," then?

Shutters at the thought of trying to pull off fusion voices.
"Shutters?"

Nah, we'd be able to do Fusion voices. It'd be fun, actually.

If I can do anything to help let me know. I have Dragonbox the movies and can help with getting the footage you all need. I would also like to help with some voice acting if possible.
Keep me informed!

I've just had an idea. :) Y'know when Goku and Tullece have an American West-esque showdown (at the end)? That'll be the perfect opportunity to insert one of them American West songs.

You know the context...

'Are you feelin' lucky, punk?'

... *stares left and right*

...

...

BOOM!

That should not be a problem. I have quite a few programs to do this.

Yeah...I'll show you "shudders"... anyway, it is great to hear what you have capsuleman! Yes I indeed love everybody. I just love R29 in a "a hope you die in slow and painful way".R29 just loves Michael Jackson a little too much I guess.

Unless the situation is changed a bit and capsuleman is actually a woman by the name of Jessica Alba, it's not happening!

Well, here's a little thing SaiyamanMS (Sato) and I threw together. He's doing the actual fandubbing for Vegeta and I edited/synced everything together. No sound effects or voices for the other characters, but I think it's safe to say he's got an alright and promising voice. However, he's kinda quiet in a latter part of dialogue, so turn the volume up a bit. Also, putting this together makes me look forward to my own audition when the movie's chosen and the footage is ready; though I'll probably be doing 15 takes as opposed to Sato's 3. >.>

Hmmm... that was pretty good. Maybe we should consider it for the part where the Spirit Bomb actually works.

So... should we go with "Room 29 Productions," then?

Aren't we supposed to wait for:

1: The movie to be chosen.
2: The footage to be 100% confirmed (which I guess has already been done).
3: An all new thread started by Kaboom for the auditions.

Right-o. Movie 3 seems to be the winner so far (not official until tomorrow), looks like we've got footage from capsuleman, and I'll be starting a thread dedicated to auditions sometime soon after that (Sunday or Monday, it depends).

We do, however, still need one or two people to fill the oh-so-important Video Editor positions. Though I see no reason why we can't work on that during auditions. I wouldn't go on with it unfilled if it weren't the last major position to fill, though one or two other positions could still use "helpers."

[NOTICE!]: I may "officially" announce the results of and request closing of the Voting thread a little earlier than originally intended tomorrow. I'll be out for most of the day, so I'll probably close it before I leave sometime tomorrow morning, around an hour earlier than announced, most likely. So get those last minute votes in before then!
