I've just remembered the Blue Dragon anime that even has Toriyama-sensei's pictures although is far better than any DB/Z/GT adaptation in terms of animation...

I've never watched a full episode of Blue Dragon or played the game, but that is more or less what I'd expect modern-Dragon Ball animation to look like.
