How do you feel about Movie 2?

Good movie good martial arts fighting with a nice story and a nice ending, you can't say that for all the movies. Most other DBZ movies are pure action entertainment with a crappy story and a one punch ending. But I don't mind that I like all the movies.

It's my favorite of the first three. I noticed how out of character Goku is though; he's way more serious in that movie. Or maybe I'm remembering it wrong.

I don't think he's out of character at all. I mean, he is serious, but his son and 2 of his best/oldest friends were kidnapped. And besides, even with that he still has his silly Goku moments, such as when he slips on the ice or runs through the cold hallway. I suggest giving it a rewatch.

I usually group these movies so that picking a favourite is easier, and out the first 4, "The World's Strongest" is definitely my favourite. I just don't like how Goku and everyone else open their mouth like a dinosaur...

I guess it's because of how they were released in the States I always lump the first 3 together. From your spelling I'm guessing you're from somewhere around the U.K. Why do you include the fourth in that bunch? Just because?

I'm actually from Portugal, where these titles are quite different (the brazillian portuguese titles are closer to the english ones), but yeah, there's no reason to include the 4th one. However, I wouldn't lump it together with the Cooler movies, since they feel like their own thing, so I put Lord Slug with the others. Here's my ideal split though:

Getting to know Goku and the main cast:
- The Legend of Shenlong
- Sleeping Princess in Devil's Castle

Expanding upon its concepts and passing the torch:
- Mystical Adventure
- Dead Zone

Upgrading the characters to fight for their world:
- The World's Strongest
- Tree of Might

Old threats from Namek, including Frieza's brother:
- Lord Slug
- Cooler's Revenge

Android saga inspired threats against Super Saiyans:
- Return of Cooler
- Super Android 13

Ascending past Super Saiyan, including a legendary form:
- Broly, the Legendary Super Saiyan
- Bojack Unbound

The new generation heroes face off against old threats:
- Broly's Second Coming
- Bio-Broly

Demons return stronger than ever against fusion and SSJ3:
- Fusion Reborn
- Wrath of Dragon

I still can't believe those battle choregraphies are from this world.
In that department, its one of the best movies by far.
