"Dragon Ball Super" Series Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
The only EoZ stuff I'll miss if we don't get that time period for Super is child Pan, Bulla and Vegeta antics, and young adult Trunks and Goten.
But with F I get Beerus, and I do want more Beerus. And more Gokû and Vegeta as classmates. :3

Wait in EOZ it was stated that Goku got bored? what the heck? that sounds to me like Goku surpassed both Beerus and Whis, the guy wouldnt get bored if he knew there were still someone stronger than he is.

EoZ needs a retcon.

So Super takes place after ROF and not after Uub? I guess Toriyama mind on the characters being too old is still true. However that does not mean future sagas won't have time skips.

What makes it impossible for Beerus and Whis appear after EOZ?!Chuquita wrote: But with F I get Beerus, and I do want more Beerus.
I want Super to take place after EOZ and still have Beerus and Whis. There's no reason why they can't appear.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

None of this is known. I'm not sure where people keep picking up on these confirmations, because they don't exist.Marco Polo wrote:No actually it takes place after Uub.Hellspawn28 wrote:So Super takes place after ROF and not after Uub? C'mon VegettoEX, you know that the Dragon Ball fanbase excels at spreading misinformation and rumors as facts!VegettoEX wrote:None of this is known. Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Well if they don't do the story after EOZ, and they don't intend to retcon it, then my interest just went way down. Any drama occurs, I just look to the end and go, oh they're still here so yeah whatever. Anything serious happens, oh well everyone looks normal at the end so whatever. A new character shows up and is supposed to stick around, oh well they're good as dead or leaving the planet since they don't exist at the EOZ. This is why I'm usually not fond of prequel's with current characters.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

We're on a message board. I think we can afford the five seconds it takes to type out terms, rather than confusing abbreviations unnecessary, given the thought and effort-driven nature of message board culture.

Highly, HIGHLY doubt this series will take place during or after EoZ... for now. This God saga is still too fresh and incomplete for them to just skip to the future like that. There's still a 5 year gap to cover, and I'm sure Toriyama would prefer to continue where F left off than fast forward to an era he doesn't seem to be that fond of.
That said, I can see the 2nd season taking place during that time.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
I can definitely see the story starting after F and then going beyond the end of the manga. I wouldn't mind it, I'd just hate it if Super finishes before The End is touched.

Does it really matters when it starts? After Eoz or after Rof doesn't matter, because DBS will be awesome either way!

- It's a sequel to DBZ/Dragon Ball manga
- It's to predictable if it took take place in those 5 years, which are supposed to be peaceful
- The multiverse issue it's nowhere that small thing to fit in this short period and Goku is shown in EoZ to be still ready for other potential threats(I mean no other threats can come from the 7th universe Goku couldn't handle, only some beings from other universes can cause him trouble - so it might be taken as a hint that till the EoZ the other universes aren't uncovered)

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Even Resurrection F skipped some years after Battle of Gods and didn't show us the events that happened since then (such as Whis taking Goku and Vegeta as students, and Vegeta absorbing SSJG). Super can easily take place after EoZ and explain whatever happened between RoF and Super as dialogue or short flashbacks.

Most sagas take place under a year. The Buu saga took place under 48 hours. I think 5 years is more than enough time to cover the other universes.Low Tone G wrote: - The multiverse issue it's nowhere that small thing to fit in this short period
