Perhaps another mentor like Whis took notice of Freeza during his last fight with Vegeta and Goku and decides to train him to be the God of destruction for another universe?
SansrivaaL wrote:Wait in EOZ it was stated that Goku got bored? what the heck? that sounds to me like Goku surpassed both Beerus and Whis, the guy wouldnt get bored if he knew there were still someone stronger than he is.
He could get bored if Beerus is just sleeping and so they can't have their rematch, but his training with Whis is done.

Nah, i doubt Freeza is gonna do more than a cameo or show up in a recap at the beginning.

if they rewrite the EOZ Then it is because the characters are too old. Maybe we get a younger Uub or they only rewrite the last part where Goku takes of with Uub
I don't see Coola showing up since Toriyama doesn't seem to care about Toei creations that he had nothing to do with. Coola was nowhere to be mention in Toriyama's interview when he mention that King Cold give birth to Freeza by himself and Freeza never bother mentioning him in ROF seeing that Freeza mention not to wish his father back to life, but not his brother. It won't surprise me if Toriyama comment on the older DBZ movies taking place in their own world is still set in stone. I think it's likely him recording voices of Freeza in a flash back seeing that Super will have a recap of DB - DBZ at the start of the first episode.

Yes!! I'd love for Neko Majin to finally get some animated recognition, especially in Dragon Ball Super. Beerus and Neko teaming up would be the stuff of legends.
Spoiler:
Akira Toriyama wrote:My policy is to try and forget things once they’re over. Since if I don’t discard the old and focus on what’s new, I’ll overload my brain capacity. I still haven’t lived down going, “Who the heck is Tao Pai-pai?” that one time I was talking with Ei’ichiro Oda-kun. But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.

And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.

While I like Neko Majin, I think having him show up won't make much sense. One of the recent DB data books mention that Neko Majin takes place in it's own dimension and would cause confusion. Maybe if they did something that Neko Majin somehow find his way into the main DBZ universe then maybe it can work.

Just because the Neko Majin stories that Toriyama has already told take place in a parallel world doesn't mean that Super can't debut those same characters into a new adaptation for the current Toriyama continuity. Is it likely we'll see Neko Majin stuff? Probably not, but that doesn't mean it is completely outside the realm of possibility. Toriyama can rework an already established character like Bardock, he can certainly rework a character of his own creation if he desires.

Speculation can be fun, but I don't really enjoy mindless speculation like this where we basically have zero information to go on. Give us a confirmed AGE setting and a Goku design at least so we're not just taking complete potshots.

Yea that would be ideal. They are keeping a real tight lid on this.
I was just reading over the press release again, and it says that "Dragon Ball Super will follow the aftermath of Goku’s fierce battle with Majin Buu", which wouldn't really make sense if it takes place after EoZ, or even after RoF. You wouldn't say the Cell games follows the aftermath of Goku's battle with Vegeta, or the arrival of Buu follows the aftermath of Freeza.
I just want a confirmed year; the speculation net is too wide right now. I feel like I can't start theorizing for real until I know exactly when this is supposed to take place.
