Throwing a bunch of capital letters out doesn't improve your point. I don't have to prove Kami is a god. The series tells us, over and over and over and over that he is. I've got all the evidence I need.
You have to prove that Toriyama lied to us all throughout the manga. You have to prove that Goku and Krillin and Karin and Popo and Kaio etc., etc., etc., were all wrong when they said Kami was a god.

Which isn't actually all that hard to believe, I mean if you get forcefed bullshit for extended periods of time by people who are older that you then you're bound to believe it right?Kamiccolo9 wrote:Throwing a bunch of capital letters out doesn't improve your point. ...ouch...
Regardless, if nobody can pull out a translation or a scan that proves whether it's the title of "god" or the powers of so-called "godly ki" that makes you an un-senseable being, then isn't this argument a little pointless? I mean come on, nobody ever sensed God's (as in "Kami") ki, but nobody stated outright that they couldn't sense it. So isn't this pretty much a debate over "who's headcanon is right" here? Speaking of, shouldn't this whole thread be in "In-Universe"?
Anyway, as for my thoughts, I can't really say, though I don't really think that his life span increased, at least not to the extent of the Makaioshin. Though if it did, then Goku Gaiden would make much more sense

You are really reaching. As confusing as the concept of godly ki is, its clear in the series that Kami, Kaio and Kaioshin are gods of the dragon world.GokuRules987 wrote:
Kami being a god is nothing more than a hyperbole to convince 6 years olds of a magical man looking over the earth from the sky. Until Battle of gods we havent seen an actual deity god that is powered by a complete different source of energy.

I thought of it when Whis asked Goku to become the next God of Destruction.
MAYBE Goku is immortal or has a milions years of lifespan, or maybe Whis has powers to give immortality to the God of Destruction.
Or it may even be that Whis wanted Goku to ask Shenron for immortality and then become the next God of Destruction.

Aren't the people born from the Kaiju tree born with undetectable Ki where as Kami and Goku aren't a special race in the same way as the Kaio and Kaioshin, so theirs is detectable? Anyway I don't think Kamj obtained this undetectable Ki that Beerus and the Shin-Jin have. Also I don't believe that Goku will live any longer than his usual life expectancy.
I like to think that Beerus is born from the Kaiju tree, for example every time a god of destruction dies a new one is born. It's the way of maintaining balance in the universe so it's kind of an automatic thing. Anyway I'm trying to say that everybody born from that tree has this undetectable ki and huge life span, and in a god of destructions case it's even more so with the life span.

I think Whis is a pretty mysterious character in a way that he might be able to provide things for lower beings to be successors for he Hakaishin Job. As Goku has been proven to a have a power comparable to Lord Beerus, then he might also grant Goku an immense life span to fulfill the criteria of the God of Destruction. Beerus doesn't really seem to be born as a God. Toriyama mentions Beerus in an interview as a certain God of Destruction, not THE God of Destruction.emperior wrote:I thought of it when Whis asked Goku to become the next God of Destruction.

I might think that Goku would have been upgraded into a being with very long life if he accepted Whis' offer, or else he could have been gained extra millions years out of his evolution from the SSJ-G ritual.

I interpreted that as Toriyama saying "you know who" by saying a certain God of DestructionLow Tone G wrote:I think Whis is a pretty mysterious character in a way that he might be able to provide things for lower beings to be successors for he Hakaishin Job. But I don't think he was born a god either since Whis asked Goku to replace him when he dies...
I wonder how much time he has left... or if that was just Whis seeing potential on Goku for being the successor and it doesnt means Beerus is going to die anytime soon...
Maybe something happened to that tree since none of the Kaioshin that died with Buu were replaced...Sora Saiyan wrote: I like to think that Beerus is born from the Kaiju tree, for example every time a god of destruction dies a new one is born. not even Kaiosama was replaced when he died from Cell's explosion.

I actually thought this topic was going to be about Goku having Old Kai's life. That was always my theory for how he lives until the end of GT.

Having the job of god and having "god Ki" are different things. Dende is a god in the job sense but does not have god ki. (we know this because he can be sensed by non-gods) Goku does not have a god job but he does have godly ki ( he can't be sensed and Beerus talks about him ascending to godhood)
Re: Did Goku's lifespan increased? Theory!
I don't think it'd bother me, if they went in this direction and I for one myself have suggested this idea some while back.
The way I see it the Super Saiyan transformations are the wrong way of drawing out your power as the final form ends up consuming to much of their power and given that dead Goku's lifespan on Earth was considerably shortened, I wouldn't be surprised, if the third level basically shortens your lifespan like going full power did to Demon King Piccolo all those years ago.
As in the Cell arc, it turns out that the basic forms are the best and so, when Gohan gets his power-up from the Elder Kaioshin, he doesn't transform at all as his basic state is his best form.
Goku then gets the Super Saiyan God form and that was the ideal opportunity for Toriyama to throw away his final two Super Saiyan forms, and apply the same concept to Goku, that he applied to Gohan, so many years ago. Of course Goku gets to keep his Super Saiyan form, but of course money talks, so he had to. As we all know Goku then gets his Super Saiyan form upgraded in [F], but it doesn't only change colour, it also reduces his muscle size like SSG IIRC.
So to me I interprete it all as the basic state being the best for natural living beings, as transforming up to one's very limit is ultimately life-shortening. Goku and Vegeta getting their God forms removes them from their natural limits, symbolises it with giving them an even slimmer body(as big bulky bodies are clumsy and strenous, but slim, small bodies probably seen as an ideal by Toriyama, who was inspired by slim Bruce Lee among others) and probably considerably shortens the aging process, as opposed to the Super Saiyan forms.
That's my take.
Also this really belongs in the In-universe discussion section.
