Sure, just call it bad writing then. It's strong enough to pierce SSGSS Goku, but it's never explained why, or how some random soldier could get such a powerful weapon; and it was said that Freeza had a backup plan but it's never concretely stated what it is.

Nope it's considered weak. Besides if these attacks, especially from a ray gun are that effective, why doesn't everyone use it? I can see why the Kienzan might be tricky, but this is a standard blast. If this kind of move can OHK someone who's billions of times above you, then more people should be wielding something like the Dodonpa. Another thing is that logically this means any random laser mook can theoretically just kill the gods. If Freeza's such a terror, they can just easily off him in his sleep.

In a way. Sorbet could kill all Z fighters and THEN revive Freeza. They will be off guard except maybe Piccolo. But I'm sure Piccolo hearing has been reckon as he didn't hear Beerus in Bog

Exactly.Its a plot device.One way to let vegeta have a turn and to show goku has his flaws even though he is incredible powerful.

Definitely not Whis. I am sure that character is always on guard even when it appears he's not. Based on what he was trying to teach Goku and Vegeta in that training, he's mastered his senses and can move optimally without even thinking about his movements.

I think Beerus has also mastered those senses, but he isn't perfect yet as Whis states about him in the movie. I don't really like the fact the Goku was caught that bad of surprise, because he used to be way more cautious as martial artist.

Why would Sorbet and Tagoma need do kill the Z fighters? There was no need. They didn't revive Freeza to carry out his revenge, hell didn't they even question Freeza when he said he wanted to carry out his revenge and got one of them dead.
Also, you think Freeza would be happy to be revived and found out that someone other than him killed the Saiyans? Well goodbye Sorbet and Tagoma(Well I guess he was dead eitherway lol). Furthermore not all Z Fighters would be dead, because Goku and Vegeta, were training with Whis and how would team Sorbet fight the Z Fighters on earth anyway, aside from Piccolo the others have changed in appearance, also would Sorbet even know what they look like?
