Ugh... I'm really getting sick of these recap endings. GT did it, Kai did it twice, BoG did it. They really need to give it a rest.

I'm so fucking hyped.
You guys are taking that one-off statement way too far.
And Kazuya Yoshii is doing the OP, not the ED.

If I had the spare time and could find the manga panel I want to use I'd have whipped up a parody album cover for Chôzetsu ☆ Dynamic by now.

I think the image of Kid Goku is likely a recap of the events of the series from DB through the end of DBZ in the first episode. I think we will likely see 2008 Jump Special, Battle of Gods and Revival of F in the possible recap as well.

Seems like I'm well trained. I can wait for news to come without problem. Thank you Togashi, its thanks to ya!
I don't expect anything until middle June though.

-About toei teasing-
Yup, probably a recap. But this time I would like to have recap of iconic moments and not just about Goku once again.
Well, still frames ending confirmed.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

I'm ok waiting because I'm still in "temporarily has practically no free time" land. When I have the time to actually color my comics again (among time to do other stuff in general), that'll be a different story.

How bout, recap openings? That should keep things fresh.

But in all seriousness, I agree with ya, I'm getting sick of these recap endings and I hope Dragon Ball Super doesn't have any of those.

Recap opening leading into the beginning of episode like Fresh Prince of Bel Air would actually be awesome!

Original Buu saga new DBZ opening had recap elements, it was done well so why not a bit

Because that was just at the beginning to show the time skip.

We've had a bunch since then, and we've had 3 in a short time within each other, and Kai literally just had 2 in a row. It's overdone and lazy at this point, especially if it's just going to be a rehash of BoG's ending showing the manga scans.

I'm also tired of recaps. Even BOG's final version starts with a recap, and Fukkatsu no F's manga version starts with a recap. @_@
Part of why I'm so excited about Super is because it's not a recap.

Maybe at least the song that goes to the ED will be good.

Hm....I'm not too affected by it. Its just an ED anyway. If the song is good, great. If not, the show better make up for it.

While waiting, might as well tide the time by rewatching DB. Kid Goku is too good.

So I'm sure this has been asked before, but what can we expect from Kimitoshi Chioka as the director of Super? What else has he worked on other then as the storyboarder for BoG?

He was series director of Hakaba Kitarou. A partial list of his credits are available on Animator's Corner. It's mostly all his modern work. Recent examples of the layouts used in episodes storyboarded by Chioka include World Trigger #23, One Piece #690, and Disk Wars: Avengers #27.

So are you happy he's the series directer or, no, or don't know yet?

I'm pretty happy. He is good at working with little, which this series is likely to have. If Chioka can apply that same mentality to overall leadership of a series then we should be in for something a little less painful. I certainly trust him as a series director a thousand times more than I do Hosoda Masahiro or Yamamuro Tadayoshi as directors of the past two films. With any luck he won't just accept boring storyboards but actively push them to be more interesting, too. I'll need to double check, but I'm pretty sure the first twenty or so minutes of the 2013 is what Chioka storyboarded himself.

I wish for that, too, but I wouldn't get my hopes up Chu

The fact the the image on the script is pretty much a literal tracing of the original tells me it's most likely a still.

I understand. After the heartbreak that was blueper Gokû, I know what it's like to have my fan-hopes crushed. (I still have hope for that director's cut because I'm clearly a fool.)

Still excited for Super though. :3
