Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
I'm not much of a figure collector- mostly because I can never justify paying the amount that these figures typically go for.
But man, that Beerus looks awesome. Would be cool to have him standing alongside my other bits of BOG merchandise.
Jaco doesn't look too bad either. I've actually noticed a few pieces of Jaco merchandise popping up as of late. He's such a great addition to the franchise. Feels like he's always existed as a part of the series. I'd also consider picking him up, since he's still a bit of an obscure character.

Oh man - I really want that Jaco figure. The other Jaco figure, the WCF one, is nice too, and probably more affordable in some ways, but...there's just something about the way the eyes are almost golden rather than yellow that makes it look a little off to me.

They release a ssjg Gokû figuarts and they will instantly have my money. Fast shipping if they get the hair color right and bonus points if one of the face plates is a smiling one.

Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
Beerus, Jaco and SSGSS Vegeta are just being revealed. No one after Ultimate Gohan (excluding the special Resurrection F releases for now) have been announced. Meaning no Gohan Buu, no Gotenks Buu, no SS4 Goku.
Nappa has been pulled from consideration for the time being because he's too expensive to produce for how many they think they'll sell.

Re: Nappa
Do you think that's the same for why blueper Gokû is getting a figuarts before ssjg Gokû? Because I'm one of the only people who would buy the ssjg Gokû one?
It's things like this that make it difficult for me to enjoy blueper.

SHF Broli sold really well though. Tamashii is already doing S.H Figuarts Hulk when he is likely the same size of Broli.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:

Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
The Hulk is infinitely more popular and will likely sell more than any two DBZ Figuarts combined. They were waiting to see how Broli sold with the higher price point and then would reevaluate whether Nappa would be a worthwhile investment. Bust as of now, he's still off the table last I heard. Personally I'm okay with that too, because I don't want him without armor.Hellspawn28 wrote:SHF Broli sold really well though. I think it's more a matter of unfortunate timing. If they were better prepared, they would have had BOG Figuarts ready to go around the film's release, but they didn't bother for whatever reason. They seem to want to correct that mistake this time because the franchise seems to be on the rise again. I imagine we'll probably get SSG Goku eventually though, because Saiyan forms sell fairly well with more than just the SHF collectors.Chuquita wrote:Do you think that's the same for why blueper Gokû is getting a figuarts before ssjg Gokû? Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
I want to hope so. As it is, even though I really like the F outfits, the only one I'd even consider is blueper Vegeta. I can't look at blueper Gokû and not feel cheated out of ssjg Gokû. ^^; It's like when I hunted for a Windows 7 laptop like crazy because of how much I refused to settle for Windows 8 since I liked the older model that much more. (And I succeeded too, I'm very happy with my 7. :3 )

The hair on that SHF SSGSS Vegeta is way too big, Beerus and Jaco look good though.

Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
Yeah, I had a feeling they were roughly amiibo-sized or slightly smaller. I'm pretty satisfied with that. That Kuririn one looks great! I'm glad you were able to get it. It's taking a lot of restraint on my part to not go overboard and order every single character I want. Otherwise, I'd be going after that one, too (and Yamcha... and Tenshinhan... and Chaozu... and...). Thanks a ton for that picture, by the way. It's a great reference.Gyt Kaliba wrote:I can't comment on those particular figures in general (though they look legitimite enough from what I can tell), but as far as the World Collectible Figures go, just be warned that they are pretty tiny for their price. I paid, I think, roughly $12 for the Battle of Gods Kuririn one, and, well... That's not to say I'm not happy with the figure though - it looks GREAT - but just be fair warned that we are talking about a pretty small item.
Thanks for the Hastings info, too! I had no idea I had one so close to me until I used their store locator. Apparently one of their stores has "merged" with the MovieStop closest to me. The last time I was there, they had a few Dragon Ball things, but none of the WCF. I'll definitely have to run back and check again. Looks like that, along with these Amazon listings, is my best bet.
Seriously, thanks a ton!

Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
The hair on Vegeta is perfectly fine considering it the exact same hair they have been using for his other releases. I'm glad they didn't change it, because they completely resculpted Goku's and it looks horrible, especially in comparison to all his other forms. :/
I'm probably going to try and figure out the shade of blue used for their SSGSS hair and then repaint my manga scheme Goku head to go on the F body instead.

Jaco and Beerus have me hyped! I'll probably get Blueper Vegeta because I'm already getting Blueper Goku and Golden Freeza. Vegetto is on his way and that has me excited! I'd totally get and SSJ4 Goku figuart if they release it. Did they do SSJ3? Like, not a statue, but one with articulation.

S.H Figuarts SSj3 Goku came out a long time ago and is very pricey now given by it's web exclusive nature. The only way they can reissue SSj3 Goku by doing a SDCC manga colors edition or doing a renewal figuart.

I forget which panel or event it was (LA I think?) but it was indeed mentioned that stuff like Broly and Shenron were to be put back on the table for consideration for release if Broly sold well.TheDevilsCorpse wrote: The Hulk is infinitely more popular and will likely sell more than any two DBZ Figuarts combined. Just a few months ago we also had an interview with Adam Newman on the progress for stuff like Shenron, where he mentioned that they probably would like to release larger articulated characters because of Broly's success. He's been going back and talking with Bandai about it as well.
Only time will tell.

Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
If they want more sales on the SH figures why don't they stop limiting the number they make and give them a normal wide release ?
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.
