Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
I don't think this really proves anything one way or the other. Gohan's clothes are irrelevant, as he can wear any number of things at any given point. But he's had this same basic hair style since the Buu Arc, which carried over to the JSAT. In Battle of Gods he "lost" his bang, but it's apparently just slicked up, because it reappears while Super Saiyan and Ultimate. Gohan's base hair is different in Resurrection F, but seeing how it's the same hair style he's had since Buu while Super Saiyan, it seems as though he just hasn't gone through the effort to style it since he now has other priorities with Pan in the picture.
This could pick up the day after Resurrection F and that Gohan from the ending would still work.

Yes, you're right. The third one seems to be Goten but anything can happen.Cold Skin wrote:There is room for speculations on both sides for now:
- POST-E.O.Z: Gohan looks more like what we'd see in the epilogue and beyond.
- PRE-E.O.Z: The third character to appear would be Goku again, already? Unlikely, it could rather be GOTEN, holding what seems to be something you pick on the fields to tickle other kids for example. And in that case, he still has Goku's haircut, which places it before the epilogue.
Anything can happen: changes of look ahead of what we thought, changes of haircut back and forth, etc...
So, we still don't have much of a clue right now!
Personally, I loved how in EOZ and GT he got his own haircut. It would be shame if he got the Goku's look again later on.
Can't remember who but someone here, said the reason why Goten decided to get a new haircut should be because in ROF Freeza would mistake him for Goku and he would get tired of that. Unfortunately that didn't happen and Freeza mistaking Trunks and Goten for Future Trunks and Goku its just another scene that should have happened in ROF.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

I think it's simply a case of Toei being very careful over what they are showing - to not give anything away. The picture of Gohan can't really be taken as any kind of proof either way. The character on the bottom would appear to be Kid Goten, but we can't see enough of it to say for certain.
It's going to be a long 2 week wait for V-Jump.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
The only thing keeping me convinced from thinking it's kid Goten is that jawline looks so much more like an adult's; but then again it is just a sketch, so..who knows.
I like Goten getting his own haircut; differentiates him more.
EDIT: I say this and then I view the photo on my laptop and it now I think it is kid Goten because the barely-visible outfit looks like that outfit he wore when he was first introduced in the manga. >_< Check the sleeves and neck of the top.

Please don't be Kid Goten. Please don't be Kid Goten. Please don't be Kid Goten.

What is that thing on the right of his head?
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
I still don't think we can really see enough of this picture to tell who this character is, and/or what they're wearing. I hope it is Kid Goten, but I don't want to get my hopes up. Even if it is, this ED may just be showing certain scenes from the Manga, or even pictures set between the years of RoF and EoZ.Chuquita wrote:

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
It can just be a grown-up Goten with Goku's hair.
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
What I would say is, that Gotens chin here doesn't look like it does at the EoZ, though that was drawn by Toriyama, so whoever has drawn this has a different style obviously. With regards to his hair, we don't know when exactly Goten changed his style, but I would find it unlikely that he would go back to looking like his father (as EoZ states that was his reason for changing it in the first place).
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
If it is Goten, the clothes look a lot like what we first saw him in, in the anime.
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
He wore similar clothes for part of the 2008 special, for what it's worth.
On hiatus.

I'm curious as to why people are still worried about when the series takes place when they basically confirmed it already.

That just confirms it takes place after F.Avenged wrote:I'm curious as to why people are still worried about when the series takes place when they basically confirmed it already.

Exactly and people keep worrying that it will take place before BoG. Also, the press release stated...Doctor. wrote:That just confirms it takes place after F.Avenged wrote:I'm curious as to why people are still worried about when the series takes place when they basically confirmed it already.

Direct sequel to Dragon Ball Z, the series will bring together all the characters and tell their adventures after Son Goku’s fierce battle against Majin Buu.

Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Just a few, though. What people are discussing the most is whether or not it takes place after the 28th Budokai.
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Well if we're still chastised in the decade gap, I'm just gonna keep staring at the EOZ every time. Piccolo goes missing or dies...well he's at the end so he'll be fine. Vegeta becomes evil again for some odd reason, well he's good EOZ so this won't last. Pan was kidnapped! Well she's ok at EOZ so tension gone. So long as EOZ exists, we've seen the future and know how our main cast turns out. With Jaco there wasn't nearly as much limiting him or his cast even in the prequel. With Dragon Ball nothing can surprise me, and even if it does, it won't last cause the EOZ has foretold everything.

Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!
Spoiler:
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
We are not debating if its before or after BoG. We are debating if its really before of after EoZ.
For there to be any amount of tension we need to cross the EoZ line.

Check out Journey's End, a short story of Goku and Vegeta's final days. "Time is running out for the last two Saiyans"
Re: Official Announcement Thread & Discussion
Exactly, all sense of danger, of tension, of loss, is completely gone just because the epilogue is still there. It'd be a terrible, and I mean terrible, choice to place the series in the decade gap again unless the last episode of Kai completely re-writes the ending to make sure the last tournament never existed. Not to mention there's also this huge potential for the younger generation, too. I really can't think of a reason why people wouldn't want Super to take place after Z. The excuse that "Well, Dragon Ball has always been a light-hearted series, so it's obvious everyone is gonna be okay by the end" doesn't work like some people claim, because there's always that tiny chance that things might not turn out okay for a certain character and it keeps the audience thinking even if the conclusion seems obvious at first glance, the ending of the Saiyan, Freeza and Cell arcs were all very unpredictable in nature and showcased a great sense of loss or tension.dbzfan7 wrote:Well if we're still chastised in the decade gap, I'm just gonna keep staring at the EOZ every time.
