Kinda wish the Dragon Ball portion was in a different font. It feels too much like Dragon Ball Z now...though maybe that's intentional and it's indeed taking place between Resurrection F and the End of Z. Oh well, it's just a logo.

Little disappointed. Was hoping for something a bit more creative like Kai's.
That's it? It's ok I guess, tho english version should really be stylised with a big S (small 'super' beneath) in such case, this logo design doesn't allow for longer word

And a red flag to keep expectations in check. If Toei can't even be bothered to design a new logo..

Knowing that everybody would be fine in the epilogue didn't make the threat of Beerus exploding the Earth and everyone on it feel like a waste, it was still full of tension.
Doesn't make Freezer blowing up the Earth any less horrible and nightmarish, even when you know everyone is fine along with the non-destroyed Earth in the epilogue years later.

So if the movies can do it in such an amazing way, Super will do it, essentially being what the third movie would have been except that it's series-wide, likely because Toriyama felt uncomfortable with the narrow time frame allowed by a movie to tell a properly constructed story.
Well I can't argue with your opinion other than say the movies did not do an amazing way of keeping tension at all IMO, I can at least say ROF dropped the ball with Whis. We knew how it was gonna play out as Whis spelled it out for us. Everyone on the forum kept going on and on about the obvious ending before we knew what it was. The not at all subtle foreshadowing made the ending, and Whis saving the day all the more predictable. Whis basically said spoilers .
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Who looked old apart from Krillin?

Besides, there are more kids during EoZ than before EoZ:
- Before EoZ: Goten, Trunks. (Really just Gotenks, since Goten has no personality.)
- EoZ: Pan, Uub, Bra, Marron.

I hate to be pessimistic, but I don't see them putting much effort when it comes to animation, music, and so on. Main thing to look forward to is the story, and if you haven't been a fan of the new movies, that will very likely disappoint too. This is not DBZ, nor is it the era it was hailed as the greatest thing on TV by its demographic. I doubt they're trying to recreate that time period either. Right now, Super is just testing waters.
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super

Oh wow, I watched the episode and didn't even notice it with it keeping the same font. XD
Ah well, I like the look of the "Super" part of the logo.

I really quite like the logo, I think they're going for the safe option by keeping the "Dragon Ball" part the same as Z, so it is more recognizable overseas.

I'm going to continue holding out hope that what's pictured above is still a work-in-progress.

Incredibly disappointed if that's the real deal. Like, more disappointed than I should rightfully be over something as silly as a logo.

Bingo. That's exactly why I hate it. I feel it caters to those people who refer to the entire franchise as "Dragon Ball Z" and are legitimately surprised when they find out "Wait, there's a prequel show about when Goku was a kid? And there's a comic book, too?"

Something like this would have made sense for Kai, but I'm kinda let down by the lack of creativity here.

I find it strange that Kai ended up with the more creative logo despite Super being the one with new material. o_O

I mean, look at it:

It looks so much fresher.

I don't mind the current logo structure, but I think (at minimum) I would have prefered for the Dragon Ball portion of the text to be more like the previous not!logos we've been getting:

Image

Place dragon and ball on the same line, then just shove the actual logo's cho/super on the end of it and I would have been happier than I am now because at least it would have its own feel to it.

That's the logo we're getting? Man... It ain't bad, but damn. GT had a better logo.

Marginally better quality shot of the logo from a raw recording:

I guess international brand recognition played into this decision, but it's a bit of a letdown.

Should absolutely be the least of our concerns, really. I can't believe we have no PV yet!

Eh, i think people who get so nervous over a logo wil end up dissatisfied no matter what Super does. There will always be a reason to pick it apart.

This look definitely better, but I think if international was playing major part here it would've been stylized with a big S instead and smaller kanji sign elsewhere. Unless of course there are 2 versions

You can't exactly blame me for having some expectations for a project like this

I like the logo! I mean, I mostly like that we finally HAVE a logo after so long, but really, I don't have any problems with it. I like the sparkle on the "chou". Now I wonder how the Funi logo will look like.

Something tells me that's not the real logo. The Dragon Ball franchise is no stranger to having a variety of logos.

I don't get how you can be "terribly disappointed" just by judging the logo. Theres not that much you can read into this other than that Super is really on its way and its really happening. Maybe Toei has an explanation for the logo. Blending the old with the new perhaps?

As usual all we can do is speculate and wait.
