The one from 1985-2011 or "Post Crisis" as he's usually called. He's basically the version of Supes everyone under the age of 25 is most familiar with from the comics and the basis for the animated series.

They kind of did, they not only ignored a lot of Post-Crisis stuff but included stuff from some animated movies that isn't canon.

That's the problem with these Death Battles, they will include both canon and non canon feats into it which can make it a little inconsistent.

If they do a rematch then they should leave Super Saiyan 4 and GT out of it completely and with Superman just focus on only what the one version of Superman has done.

At this point the DC 52 version has been around long enough for them to maybe just go with that instead. It'd be easier to keep track of what he's done.

How would you even pick just one Superman? Wouldn't you have to pick just one story line? Which story line would you pick? Superman from 1985-2011 varied greatly in power, even without getting into different universes and what not he seems to vary in power, sometimes explained, sometimes not.

This reminds me of another problem with the Death Battle.

They were obviously using material not in the manga to determine his power. Besides SSJ4 they got his durability based on Android 16's bomb which was not in the manga.

Yet they determined his strength based on what was said in the manga with the 40 tons thing but didn't take into account another scene that was filler which was when Goku was fighting Buu in Super Saiyan form and he pushed apart a mountain which would have weighed millions of tons easy.

It was a weird way to mix and match it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but ScrewAttack is partnered with Youtube. Mo' views = mo' money, and Goku vs Superman would bring in a lot of views.

Oh God no more... I'm tired of seeing Goku get his arse kicked from a guy that shows his underwear to everyone including villains. Like some of us here there is no way in hell Goku will ever be able to beat superman. Thunder emperor (God of creation) vs superman would be a better match!

I wouldn't say it's not fair. After all this is the Superman that we have now, even though he hasn't been around that long there's still a lot of material to work with between Action Comics, Superman, Justice League etc.

Likewise with Goku we have the SSJ God and SSGSS now and all the GT stuff which is a thing of the past should be left out.

Well taking the 40,000 mark at face value multiplying that by fifty gives us 2 million and seeing as though Goku was an SSJ2 at first in the anime his maximum raw out put would be 4 million tons.. So there isn't really too much wrong with what they said.

They had SSJ4 Goku at only being able to lift 160,000 tons (without Ki), even though in the anime when he was drastically weaker he was able to push apart a mountain.

They only used the form as a multiplier for Goku. Other than that, they kept with canon feats for the most part (SSJ4 was the only thing GT used)
