Whatever happened to Hironobu Kageyama?
I've seen many people here say that Hironobu Kageyama is no longer affliated with Dragon Ball ... so, what happened to him? I know about Kikuchi's plagarism scandal, but what became of Kageyama?
Thanks in advance

There should be a witty quote or something down here. I'm just not imaginative enough to come up with anything.

There was no scandal involving Kikuchi, no way. That's Yamamoto you're thinking of, from Kai.

Wasn't there something with him not being owned by Columbia anymore? I vaguely remember something about that.
Re: Whatever happened to Hironobu Kageyama?
To the OP:
The termination of Yamamoto had nothing to do with the sudden disappearance of Kageyama.

Re: Whatever happened to Hironobu Kageyama?
Kageyama Hironobu is a member of Lantis. Toei Animation doesn't have a standing deal with Lantis like they do Columbia, so it would be difficult to corral him back. Columbia probably wouldn't be very happy to be ignored when they are the only with the contract, anyway.
Kageyama is still working with JAM Project, though. They recently released a 2015 remake of their SKILL music video. Wings of the Legend is one of their recent songs, it's pretty cool!

Whoa, these new songs are pretty awesome! This is still very much the Kageyama from Dragon Ball!JulieYBM wrote:Kageyama Hironobu is a member of Lantis. Thanks for the explanation, by the way!

It did make them stop producing new Kageyama songs for video games, though.DB1984 wrote:To the OP:

Yamamoto composed all the Kageyama songs for DB video games since FInal Bout, which are now all legally unable to be re-released in any way.Naruto6583 wrote:Did yamamoto do the arrangement for the songs?kei17 wrote:It did make them stop producing new Kageyama songs for video games, though.DB1984 wrote:To the OP:

That's such a shame... Luckily a lot of us have our DragonBall music archived.kei17 wrote: Yamamoto composed all the Kageyama songs for DB video games since FInal Bout, which are now all legally unable to be re-released in any way.
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

Re: Whatever happened to Hironobu Kageyama?
That fact was what made me believe that Yamamoto's scandal had something to do with Kageyama's disappearance from Dragon Ball, along with the fact that Yamamoto arranged some movie songs that Kageyama sung in.kei17 wrote: Yamamoto composed all the Kageyama songs for DB video games since FInal Bout, which are now all legally unable to be re-released in any way.

I would be great to see he works in the musics of Dragon Ball Super, although.
