I assume you guys may have already seen these, but the Toei online store have listed these jigsaws for sale, and branded them as "Super".

It appears they're simply marketing "F" products as "Super" not sure why, perhaps to just try to make a bit of cash off of the new series, without giving any clues away.

Blogger tamerlane wrote a nice little post on Chioka Kimitoshi on his now-defunct blog camonte. It seems Chioka might have storyboarded Saint Seiya Omega Opening #2. That's probably a pretty good indication of how we can expect to see resources spent on the opening animation for Dragon Ball Super.

We rarely get to see the DB characters in normal clothes and doing normal stuff, so I kinda hope that the opening is one of those that mostly has basically zero relevance to the plot. Maybe a couple of spoilers that we think are as unrelated as the rest of the material, but then we can all go "oooooh" when it actually happens in the series proper.

If it's real (because I haven't found a good source), it's for Heroes. Which will feature Mira, Towa, SS Bardock: Xeno and new gods (one of which might be the TIme Kaioshin) in GDM3.

I suppose this will be he moment of truth. Even if it's just a very quick, 15 second snippet of Goku doing something, I imagine we may get at least some sort of evidence for a more solid timeline placement.

^ I don't think they would waste animation that will ultimately go unused, like for a movie trailer.
They can't afford to create animation that will be trailer-only.

But they could handle it like they handled Kai's trailer: showing pictures of the opening as an opening is sort of a trailer when you think about it, an opening is usually showing multiple things at a fast pace like a trailer if you see what I mean.

Kai will show Boo's final defeat and the saga's climax (possibly with the insert song) AND show Super's first images at the same time, so Sunday is a big day for Dragon Ball compared to usual.

Ahhh! Excited to see this even if it's only a quick snippet - our first tangible look at a new ongoing Dragon Ball series! I know a lot of my friends - even those who haven't seen Dragon Ball, only watched the English dub of Dragon Ball Z when it was first airing in the UK and haven't seen it since - are very excited to see what the new series brings. Looking forward to seeing what they do with it!

Still hoping it's set after the end of Z, personally - since Kai seems confirmed to include the final timeskip & tournament, it'd feel really weird to show that only to jump straight backwards the next week and say, "Before that, this also happened...". It'd rob the new series of any tension straight from the beginning!

I also hope it doesn't jump forwards even further like GT did at the beginning, though. Ideally it should pick up fairly shortly after Goku's picked up Uub and continue from there - though I'd be interested in seeing them start off with what other characters are up to before showing us any Goku/Uub training. Ideally the two would go somewhere fairly out-of-the-way (maybe Beerus and Whis' place?) to allow whatever new threat is coming to Earth to appear without Goku being around from the beginning.

I will say, though, that I'm not particularly a fan of Goku's blue end-of-Z gi - especially now what with his SSGSS form having blue hair. Combine the two and he'd be blue from head-to-toe! If the timeline placement I'm hoping for comes to pass, hopefully they'll start him off in it for consistency but then change him back into his Resurrection 'F' gi or similar, which is a nice amalgamation of the end of Z style gi and his more iconic orange outfits.

Anyway, not long to go now - can't wait...! = D

I really hope it's telling that they're showing this trailer right after Buu is defeated, as that's when Super is going to take place in the timeline. At the end of the day, Kai's purpose isn't to lead into Super, it's purpose is to follow the manga more closely.
The fact that Uub is shown in the final ending for Kai doesn't mean anything, even if Super is taking place EoZ, that ED would more than likely have been produced before they knew anything about it.

I know what people are saying when they think it would be weird to show the epilogue then go back before it, but Toei aren't going to just remove the final 2 episodes they produced (and have nothing to air for those two weeks) for the sake of continuity, and go against the whole point of Kai.
The other solution would have been to start Super earlier, which they wouldn't do, because of the new Season not beginning until the first week of July.

I really hope they've put a good budget behind this to make it the best product it could possible be. The plot, story, villains etc I can worry about later... I'm just hoping the animation is not substandard.

Ooooo! Very excited to see this. Wonder if it's dialog from the shoshowshow or trailer dialog. Can't wait to see just a TAD hint of timeline placementplacement. Hoping for EoZ Goku with Bluish-Greenish GI. Have him be his own master now .
Really not a fan of the all orange GI. Just too much orange. Vegeta outfit can be anything as he makes everything work.

Don't give a fuck about animation. As long as it's passable then I'm happy. Wonder if they'll "debut" a new character via trailer. Omg if somehow Goten, Trunks, or Gotenks is in the trailer I might explode. Especially if it's EoZ Goten, Trunks, and Heroes Gotenks. Holy shit I'll die a happy Goken. But as long as I see some footage imma be good.

The first on-air trailer for “Dragon Ball Super” will be broadcast with “Dragon Ball Kai” the day after tomorrow, June 14th (Sunday)!! It will also be worth checking out the climax of “Kai”!
