If it weren't for the hinting at the new antagonist potentially being stronger than Resurrection F Frieza, I'd be inclined to think this (or at least the first episode or two) actually does take place directly after the defeat of Buu and that Beerus and Whis just kinda show up as a quick cameo.

Same reason he got yet another new civilian hairstyle in ROF. Toei & Toriyama can't get the memo that characters need iconic looks they stick with, they only do it with Goku/Vegeta

Guys, Goku was 14 at the beginning of DB and was a similar height to Goten and Trunks. Goku didn't grow until he was like 17. It seems that some saiyans stay short for quite some time.

So calm down!

But Future Trunks was much taller than Goku was at age 14, as shown in the special chapter. This is literally the same person in a different timeline.

But that's assuming that future Trunks was conceived at the exact same moment as present Trunks was, which is highly unlikely. Maybe a different sperm with a different height gene fertilized the egg.

Well… at least just about everyone's wearing something different.. Goku looks cool going SSJ in his farmer clothes as well. wasn't expecting much, I'm pumped.. July 5th hurry the hell up.

Theres the possibility that the kids won't be kids throughout the entire run-through.. However I don't expect DBSuper to be very long at all.. maybe about 25 episodes.

Guys, I can see the fuuuuture. I already called that this would take place before EoZ for many reasons. Now, I shall share my gift of foresight to explain the time period further!

Okay, so Super is going to take place before AND after F. It will essentially serve as a bridge at first, taking place during the 2008 OVA era first, and gradually skipping into the F timeline. This will allow them to to reiterate the events that have occurred to people who haven't watched the modern movies and specials. At the same time, it will provide new content for the people who have. I don't expect this to last for many episodes, and you'll prob get glimpses of a new villain during these episodes, all leading to a new character, and eventually, post-F events. It's possible we'll also see Vegeta gain his SSGSS form.

As for EoZ, if the series is successful, expect the 2nd season/saga to finally reach that era.

Without a doubt; hell, these cuts were probably drawn yesterday, considering how hush they are about it.

This was my biggest fear, what I'd thought would happen but hoped wouldn't... Instead of moving the series forward they're rehashing the old proven-moneymaker formulas.... How old are Trunks and Goten now? 13? 14?

Battle of Gods is two years after the Buu arc. I don't know if it's ever said how long F is after BoG, but if we assume not long(a year or less) than they can't be older than 10 or 11.

On one hand, I don't think it's outrageous for 10-year-old Goten and 11-year-old Trunks to still be small, but on the other, the powers that be are obviously keeping them small for marketing purposes. It's a concentrated effort that they're going to push to its limit until doesn't make sense for them not to age... And then they won't age. I do like Kuririn seems to change more than them. I guess he's not important enough to stay stagnant.

Toei's satiated me for, like, a day. Not much was shown. I am humming "Chozets, Chozets, Dyyyyyynamic!" over and over. The animation did not look very impressive. Particularly weird/Yamamuro-esque shots are Piccolo, Beers and Whis, and the final Goku shot.

:/ I really hope this isn't before RF, I can deal with post RF, Pre-EoZ, but putting it in the year between BoG and RF would be super disappointing unless it only sat there for a few episodes.

It's not obvious at all. I mean, sure, it can take place in that time period, but they can give a billion reasons for why Goku goes SSJ, or for any other thing you saw in the teaser.

So why do Goten and Trunks look so young? Why is Goku and Vegeta not training with Beerus and Whis? Why does Gohan have his Battle of Gods design rather than his Revival of F design? You think if it takes place after Revival of F it would have some indicator or implication that it would, but everything in the trailer suggests it takes place after Battle of Gods instead of after Revival of F. The series will probably go after Revival of F eventually, but the initial teaser did not suggest that for the first episode.

I'm willing to bet good money that I'm right on this. Then again, it's speculation.

Beerus is awake and the first announcement about the series said they'd fight an opponent stronger than Freeza.

So they effectively retconned Gohan's EOZ look, by turning it into a "This is how Gohan looks on every other occasion after Kid Boo dies" look.

BoG is 4 years after Buu and RF is 1 year after that.

trailer looks pretty good, considering its just 15 seconds long. Nice to know at least an estimate of where its located in the timeline, Before EOZ. Animation looks good too.
