I'm trying really hard not to feel upset and complain. But I just feel like there's not a lot "new" going on here. I am more excited to see ROF at this point. At least it feels like it is progressing then "gods era"

Define "new"? Female Whis and chubby Beerus isn't new? Exploring something more than the current cast is nothing new? So, they really should have just made Revival of Cell?

They're just alterations in Beerus and whis and all the costumes and character designs are from a few years ago when BOG came out. I am not saying it's bad, but at least when BOG came we got a brand new design for a villain/character. Making him fat and the other a girl isn't a big change.

He's gonna throw so many curveballs in the plot of Super. Just the fact the splash image of the show caught me off guard so much, is pretty much an indication of the unexpected plot twists that Toriyama seems to have in store for Super.

I'm perfectly fine if this beginning arc takes place during the "Battle Of Gods" time period, but hopefully future arcs can go past the epilogue. I want to see Pan in action again!

And Yūko Minaguchi's back as Videl! HOORAY FOR EVERYTHING! That puts two fears to rest. I wonder if Yanami will reprise Kaiō, but as long as he's involved in some way, I'm golden. And it looks like everybody else is back, too! So everyone who was worried that Toei might pull a Sailor Moon and dump everyone but Nozawa can rest easy.

Did any new staff members get revealed on the site, Jacob? Anybody worth getting excited over?

I'm just super confused at this point. All the designs are Battle of Gods era, so is it after BOG, and before F? But Beerus and Whis are apparently around, though we never met them prior to Battle of Gods and Beerus was asleep till F. Are we retelling all the films, or are the saying the hell with continuity again?

Beerus knew that Whis was training Goku and Vegeta in RoF, so it's not like he was sleeping all the time in that period. If this is before RoF, Beerus is likely woken up prematurely due to that fat Beerus coming to Earth, but then goes back to sleeping after he's defeated (or just leaves, if Fat Beerus wins but doesn't kill anyone and just leaves a threat) and Whis picks up Goku and Vegeta to train them. Then, RoF would be just a random battle in the middle of Super's 1st training arc, which likely wouldn't even need to be mentioned by the tv show.

I hope you're right. I want to believe that it'll be more interesting then I am expecting. It feels weird to back tread a few years given that ROF just came out.

Calling it now! First arc takes place between BoG and RF, Fat Beerus is this series's Raditz and they barely beat him by the skin of their teeth, then to prepare for the other gods Whis trains Goku and Vegeta, time skip to either post RF or EoZ.

Oh, whew! I really was worried about the voice cast after both Sailor Moon Crystal and Digimon Adventure Tri proved to be disappointing on that front. It's really good to see the old cast is coming together for this.

No he didn't. Beerus specifically asks Goku how he got there (to Beerus' home) after waking up.

I'm sure Furuya will appear if Yamcha does. I think the fact that nobody was replaced means we can rest easy about the rest of the voice cast.

I'm sure we'll be seeing Yamcha, Tenshinhan, and Chaozu in some capacity. I'm REALLY hoping we get Lunch back, too. It's been far too long, and it was a crime for the staff to leave her out of the 2013 movie.

I'm just here hoping for FemWhis to be as strong as Whis and give a run for her money. We really need some girls fighting if 18 is already outclassed and Videl has "retired" (due her pregnancy or not). She's a nice and welcome surprise.
