Goku's resistance to cold in Movie 2

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Goku's resistance to cold in Movie 2

Post by DragonBallGuy » Tue Jun 16, 2015 5:24 pm

Before I begin, I'd just like to say I am glad and honored to be here on Kanzenshuu.

This has always bothered me.
In Movie 2, The World's Strongest, Goku is shown to be freezing outside of Dr.Uiro's fortress. But later in the film, he is completely fine lying in snow in the same arctic region, even with his gi torn off.
Why is that?

After using the Kaioken, perhaps his body remained warm long enough for him to withstand the immense cold conditions.

From all the strenuous effort he had to exert during the battle, his body was likely warmed up and was probably even on the verge of being overheated. I'm also inclined to agree with Lord Beerus on how the Kaioken likely had an effect on the longevity of his elevated body heat.

Or maybe all of the ki blasts and explosions going off in the area had raised the ambient temperature.
Cool stuff that I upload here because Youtube will copyright claim it: https://vimeo.com/user60967147

I agree with all the above.
Using kaioken which probably warmed up
the ki attacks probably warmed up the area a bit
the fighting and physical activity
i believed all this allowed him allowed him do this. I remember a lesson that states if you were in the cold that you should move around a lot.
Other then that i guess it can be argued that goku simply adapted to the cold.
