Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.
I think it's discussed here before, a long time ago. But can anyone translate this or shed more light to it. I remember seen this picture back in the 90s. I think it has to do with when fusion was introduced for the first time.

I still haven’t lived down going, “Who the heck is Tao Pai-pai?” that one time I was talking with Ei’ichiro Oda-kun. But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.

And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.

Oh man, there's some pretty hilarious fusions in there! Some pretty cool ones too! Not sure who all the fusions are though; let's see if I can guess them correctly...
(1) Cell and Muten Roshi
(2) Chi Chi and Mr. Popo
(3) Goku and Gregory
(4) Bulma and Chi Chi (?)
(5) Super Saiyan Goku and Muten Roshi
(6) Goku and Piccolo
(7) Tenshinhan and Chi Chi (?)
(8) Gohan and Trunks (?)

Number 7 is Tenshinhan and Bulma but not bad, you got all the other ones right.

That would've been my second guess. Definitely an odd fusion if I say so myself.
I'm a big fan of the Bulma and Chi Chi fusion though. (Bulchi? Chima? Chima sounds a little better.) Would be cool to see her in a video game.
Piku and Truhan are pretty cool-looking too. Truhan looks like he could be in Heroes or Xenoverse.
It was a contest Jump ran back when the Boo arc was still ongoing. Readers were to send in their drawings of their own fan-made fusions. Toriyama drew his picture of "Piririn" (Kuririn+Piccolo) for the issue where this contest was announced.
So since some of these fusions appear in the Fusion vest, and others seem to have an outfit that's a combination of what the characters were wearing beforehand sorta - was this contest held at the point where Vegito and Potara fusion had already been revealed? Or was it just people drawing whatever they wanted to that resulted in that coincidence?
I also want each and every one of these characters playable in a game someday, for pure hilarity's sake.

Oh yeah, another important bit of context: the "Gohanks" entry was submitted by future To-Love-Ru artist Kentaro Yabuki, which is why the To-Love-Ru blog linked to in the original post had them up in the first place.

The contest was announced in Weekly Jump #13 for 1995, which was the issue that ran DB chapter 508 (Pure Boo's first appearance) and these winners were featured in issue #19 that same year, together with DB chapter 514 (the Earth is restored and Goku starts making the Genki-Dama). In other words, the entire contest took place after Vegetto had come and gone.
