If this is a retelling, Super will be like the opposite of Kai. A shorter story lengthened with all new animation instead off cut old footage.

I still don't understand why not do a new story, unless they have no ideas for one.

I love the last 2 movies but they both feel a bit rushed due to having a limited running time so they're stories will be a lot better with the extra time they'll have from the series if they're getting retold.

Jokes aside, I love all this synopsis stuff for DBS released so far. It all sounds super fun and entertaining. My head still spins a bit trying to figure out how these storylines will all end up meshing. I can buy the whole "Beerus holding a planet hostage for food and then getting poisoned" scene as something that happened off screen near the beginning of Battle of Gods. What's more so confusing me right now is the Goku stuff. Assuming these events are all happening simultaneously, shouldn't Goku be on King Kai's planet training this whole time? He's there before Beerus wakes up, Beerus wakes up, and assuming the stuff on the other planet happens before Beerus hit's up King Kai's planet, we still see Goku is on King Kai's when Beerus comes. Goku being on a farm on Earth with Chi-chi and Goten makes very little sense in the context of all this.

But again, this is from the view point that all these events are happening simultaneously. I could see them maybe putting the Beerus timeline and Goku timeline a little off kilter. Like the Beerus stuff happened in between the early scenes of Battle of Gods, but the Goku stuff all happened pre-BoG, and I guess we'll eventually see what brought Goku to train on King Kai's planet in the first place? (Which would make sense, given the scene of Goku in his farmer's outfit on King Kai's planet in the Super preview.)

All of this is so strange, but I'm incredibly excited to see how it all weaves together in just a few short weeks!!

I'm perfectly fine with the series picking up before Battle of Gods to start off with and then jumping to post-Battle of Gods or post-RF. That's a really cool idea.

I don't want a complete retelling of those two movies though to be honest.

On topic though, didn't expect animation to be that good, so was quite pleasantly surprised, don't expect anything great for a plot though. Don't wait for something serious, just a lot of comedy, so if anything, THIS series will be a sidestory for me, just like RoF was.

I suppose it could go your way, but that's a lot to cram in. After the wedding (if we even see it), we'll still need to pencil in Bulma's party, and account for any differences we end up with along the way.

Goku goes to Kaio's planet to train -> More Goten and Trunks? -> Beerus returns home and talks to the Oracle Fish

Yeah, we don't know how the structure of chapter 1 compares to the anime.

For instance, the promo showed Vegeta - presumably from the first episode - but this chapter doesn't have him. Also, Goten and Trunks going after a present for Videl didn't happen in the manga either.
Unless the summary is incomplete, but as i was expecting, i think the manga will be just short monthly previews.

They're talking about Earth, in the director's cut they specifically mention it a couple times..
they wonder if there is something about the planet itself.

Which is quite funny, considering Earth is probably the only planet in the universe that has been destroyed twice (though, I guess not really twice...).

Oh no, please don't overwrite BoG. There's absolutely no reason to do this. I'm perfectly ok with them filling in the gaps between the movies or whatever but there is no reason to change the movies.

If they ever did give Pan a younger brother then I would not mind it if he is not a poor rehash of Saiyan saga Gohan.

It's not like Toriyama or Toei care about continuity, if there ever was one.

If they are doing the whole 12 universes thing then I kinda have a feeling that a universe where Goku and the other Z fighters are evil won't be that far off. Imagine a world where Freeza is a good guy .

I think they're going to retell them in a bigger way such as having more fights but the stories are going to be the same.

If this is a retelling, then Freeza will definitely appear. I'd have thought, that if Ryūsei Nakao is already recording his lines, then it's possible the movies will be represented rather quickly, as they only began production a short while ago.
Ryūsei Nakao may have already finished Frieza's dialogue, but even if he hasn't, the fact they told him he would be working on it may indicate that the two movies wil be retold rather quickly, and then they can move on further past "F", and start delving into the 4 years before the epilogue.
